The thread to discuss it is here http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=1202967 Meanwhile Scott Kurtz has revived Ding! with Binwin Bronzebottom. Check it here http://www.pvponline.com/2009/06/15/welcome-to-ravenhurst/ Coincidence? |

| #3NovacatJun 15, 2009 14:45:55 | Well, I doubt that the Jim Darkmagic series will be done, at least not first. Lookouts has a lot more support, as far as I can see (my own support included). |

Lookouts has a lot more support, as far as I can see (my own support included). I think Lookouts got such mad support because they released a podcast about it. People got to see what they planned for it and what they decided not to put it, while with Automata, people were like, "Yeah, ok. Now what?" But people love Jim Darkmagic (The original painting of him by Mike Krahulik sold for $5000) so i'd say that those two would be in contention. As for Binwin, I believe Kurtz means well and I think he put a lot of thought into it, but he does have a history of starting things and not finishing them. I don't know if we can fault him for that though, i mean, he's just one guy, while penny arcade has a staff of a dozen people. It's getting harder and harder to compare PVP and Penny Arcade these days. |
| #5powercatJun 15, 2009 17:30:10 | Well, Automata has the early lead, followed by Lookouts. Jim is squarely in last. |
| #6ADHadhJun 22, 2009 3:06:40 | Bump, because there's a follow-up to the previous Binwin one http://www.pvponline.com/2009/06/21/not-affiliated-with/ And I find it hilarious. |
| #7owls_and_more_owlsJun 22, 2009 3:42:09 | Haha, ah Binwin, always in Jim's shadow. |
| #8cecil777Jun 22, 2009 4:25:14 | I just love Binwin. Why? Because he's the opposite of Jim Darkmagic. He rolls poorly, dies in every confrontation, and STILL manages to JUST pull through with an inch of life left. He's unpopular, nobody knows him except by association of Darkmagic, and he gets hit by his own party numerous times. He makes the best of a poor situation, and that's why he's my hero. Rock on, Binwin. ROCK ON. |
| #9powercatJun 22, 2009 6:35:29 | The universe hates Binwin, but that's what makes him so likable. |
| #10The_White_SorcererJun 22, 2009 14:02:59 | I just love Binwin. Why? He's also an excellent substitute for a rogue. |
| #11Greater_LammasuJun 22, 2009 14:43:09 | Both Penny Arcade and PVPhave D&D related comics up today. True awesome. |
| #12owls_and_more_owlsJun 22, 2009 14:59:39 | Have you noticed that Penny Arcade has sort of replaced WoW comics with D&D comics? |
