Incorrect. It's currently the fastest production vehicle ever made. A SSC (Shelby (not that Shelby) Super Cars) ride was faster ... for a couple of months but Bugatti then came out with the Veyron SS and stole the title back. You will not run out of fuel in 15 minutes unless you're travelling at or very near the car's top speed. At that speed you've also only got about 20 minutes on your tires, too. Cool stats but basically impossible to achieve. There's only a few places on the planet with the track set up for cars like this to hit their actual peak and maintain it for any length (such as it is) of time. I also believe the top speed was more like 268, not 230. It's truly a shame that the car is no longer being produced and even more of a shame that it's successor is ... some sort of luxury sedan. Disgusting, I know.
Anyhoo, this Venom thing is sorta lame. I mean, I know what Hennesy does and this car is an example of exactly that but because of what they do, it's lame in comparison to a Veyron IMO. This is a specialty company taking parts from vehicles they don't make themselves and then Frankensteining them together. It's just not the same for some reason. I mean, it's like comparing a Veyron to a top fuel dragster. One is a production vehicle and one is some specially built ... thing. A very cool thing, no doubt, but still not just a car - which the Veyron can actually claim to be. It's, of course, not just a car but at the same time, it is. This thing isn't. It's a Lotus with a lengthened frame - and I have to wonder what that does to this car's famously insanely good handling - with some massively modified massive engine stuck into it. So, cool but in a different way. And not on the same level. A different thing altogether. Nothin' wrong with that but given the money and the option, I'd go with the Veyron. That car is famous and always, always will be.
