That all makes a surprising amount of sense.

Would have been funny if she'd try to set up a letter-selling business where she writes all sorts of sappy letters to Obama and then sells all the responses, but she's not.

So basically there's a woman with no money and no job, who sells something that's both emotionally and monetarely valuable to pay for her bills.

If anything, it's a sad story, not a laughing matter.

I have to agree, there's nothing funny about this. Ironic? Absolutely. But not funny.

That's cos you aren't trying to push an anti-Obama agenda. If you were then you would take every opportunity to ridicule the POTUS even if said opportunities often range from tenuous to flat-out fictitious.

I think that people pushing an anti-Obama agenda can do this in much more prominent locations than the OTT Forums on Wizards' message boards.

And they do, but that doesn't mean it isn't also done here it simply means that doing so here is doubly a waste of time.

Just cos I'm making a serious point doesn't mean I'm not having fun.

Sometimes it's hard to tell with you (well, with many, but definitely with you).

Yeah I just can't really see too much that's funny about a poor woman struggling to provide for her family. My mom had a letter from Bill Clinton and I doubt she would have been too happy if she was forced to sell it to take care of me.

(Insert snide anti-Clinton comment here...)

Out of curiosity, was the letter this lady had an apology letter?  Obama seems to be really good at that.

Yeah she was a die-hard democrat. And I was a kid that didn't understand politics, I just thought that anything from the President was automatically cool.

"Anything from the President..."

If we weren't talking about Clinton, you'd be right.  HerpegonosyphilAIDS, however, is NOT cool.

Like you often did when Dubya was president?
Like that?

Out of respect for you, I'll leave this one quite alone...
