Cat lost. Even with a lucky crit.

If this had been posted a month ago, it would have to have been an April Fool's joke.

What, the guy couldn't have called animal control?

...couldn't have put on a welder's glove and grabbed the cat?

...couldn't have opened the door and chased the cat out that door?

(pounding head on the wall)

From the article, it sounded like he stabbed himself while trying to stab the cat.  That means it's less Cat v. Commoner and more like he plays with a fumble chart and rolled crit self.

Sometimes I wonder how we made it this far.  But in all honesty, technology has really done nothing more but make stupidity more readily accessible.  I think Klirshon's plan may be counterproductive in that respect.

I don't think technology made it more accessible.  I think technology made it more survivable.  400 years ago if you were stupid, you would have gotten yourself killed rather quickly.  Mouth off to the wrong person and you'd be dead.  Too stupid to pull your weight in the world and you were dead.

Likely scenario: he triped.

Moral to this story...

Don't bring a knife to a catfight.

I thank you.

...
But knives increase the probabilites of critical clothing failure! (Contingent upon the wielders technique, of course.)

I would rather bring a video camera.

Why bring a video camera without taking steps to help ensure that the fight is worthy of a vedographic recording? On that note: Short, dull, serrated knives with a blunt tip. Stiletos, while the iconicly sterotypical 'baroness' weapon, would cause the fight to end much too quickly. Deep stab wounds are bad, amiright?

You'll argue just about anything just to argue.

Aye. I am bored, and this entertains me. Seeing as you do not know me, and you really do not stand to gain anything from any 'argument' we may have here (some prefeer to think of them as discussions) the only reasonable conclusion that I can draw can be drawn from your participation is that, on some level, you enjoy it too.

Not really, particularly about trivial matters.  I merely joked about bringing a knife to a catfight.  You wanted to read into it.

You joked about bringing a knife to a catfight, I joked by interpreting your joke with the slang term of catfight, you responded with a joke about video cameras, I responded with a joke analyzing the tye of knife most likely to make the event camera worthy, you responded to question my motivation for responding, I responded clarifying my motivation and stating that you probably have a similiar motivation, you responded to deny while demonstrating the opposite of your denial, and I am now posting to agree with, and elaborate on, your posted sequence of events while calling you on the apparent contradiction of your most frequent recent post where you claimed to not like arguing about trivial matters by way of arguing about a trivial matter with absolutely no possibility for measureable gain unless your situation is atypical to the extreeme.

Edit: Ugh, my typign is attrocious tongiht. It is normally bad, yes, but this is above and beyond even my usual slopp. Guess I'm having too much fun.

My joke was entirely about the slang term for catfight to begin with...  hence why it's one word.  Sorry you missed it.

Honestly I'm not so sure that I missed it so much as forgot it. Looking back, it does apear that I was more playing with your joke than subeverting. No matter, really. It was a good lark.
