Change is coming to the Internet

Dec 03, 2011 4:18:07 I recently saw something - likely on PBS Newshour. Apparently the US government is going to make changes to the internet to protect US Intellectual Property. So what if tomorrow's internet looked at everything you produced on the Internet (including simply posting ideas in these forums) and allocated it to a file on you - granting you Intellectual Property Rights? Imagine the stuff you give away freely in these forums. These Ideas are the foundation of Intellectual Property.

More than likely this is a response to the online game producers who are using them to farm mathematical algorithms based on the way people think when they play games or behave online. The fact is how you think and behave online is your intellectual property.

Even if it does, nothing will actually change. Dedicated pirates will just find a Mexican or Canadian DNS server, or just go directly to 194.71.107.15
