White Christmas is the best Christmas movie ever made. Christmas isn't something I get into much, but this movie is a part of it for me every year. None do it better.

The Hogfather movie. To quote the author himself:
"Let's see, now...in Hogfather there are a number of stabbings, someone's killed by a man made of knives, someone's killed by the dark, and someone just been killed by a wardrobe.

It's a book about the magic of childhood. You can tell."

Oh, wow, someone actually saw Midnight Clear. Had to watch it for class in college. Those poor German conscipts and the snowball grenades.
Trading Places was awesome too. My neighbor jumped out 2 nights ago (drunk but jovial) when I was out on the porch and yelled, "Merry Newyear...beef jerky time."

Kind of an old softy when it comes to Christmasy movies

-The LIttle Princess (S. Temple reminds me I was a kid once)
-The Hudsucker Proxy (Cohen bros film, timeless, funny)
-Christmas Carol, Mickey's or the classic (when you combine incorporeal undead w/ poor, destitute families, greed, and so on, and still have a happy ending, that's not easy).

We always watch "A Christmas Story" and "Bad Santa", followed by our other favorite movies to watch at Christmas (although they have nothing to do with the season), "Full Metal Jacket" and "The Exorcist". I have no idea how those movies came to be associated with Christmas at my house, but Christmas just isn't Christmas without some psychotic Marine asking where the sniper is.

What is your major malfunction, Shiftkitty?! Didn't mommy and daddy give you enough attention when you were a child?! :P :D

Bad Santa (2003)

We're No Angels (1955)

If you don't know them, look 'em up.

Edit: cut to the chase! OnusBone mentioned Bad Santa.

Last year we sat down and watched the three godfather movies back to back to back on Christmas. Talk about being paranoid, and I had to pry my backside off the couch.

No. It's not. Joni-san had it right in the first place. It's called "Hogfather".

I forgot about that one, I totally :inlove: The Long Kiss Goodnight, Geena Davis is one of my idols for her roll as Samantha Caine. Who doesn't love a school teacher assassin? :D
