| #1kroskaDec 27, 2009 21:16:40 | Link to what a battlemat by crystal castle looks like---> crystalcaste.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen... My group left dry erase red marker on a battlemat for several weeks and we tried cleaning it off with orange cleaner made by Fantastik, but nothing came off. I've tried the orange cleaner, mineral spirits, and regular water. Will oxi-clean work, or setting bleach on it for a while? In short, what rips out marker stains that have grafted themselves into the fabric? |

Including a Dry Erase board that had not been wiped off in quite some time. Also took permanent marker off a dry erase board (though that had only been on it for a few minutes). |

As long as you don't leave it on for a while, or rub too hard, you shouldn't have a problem with the lines coming off. I had some problem in a corner where I started and rubbed too hard, but it's only a little faded - no one noticed until I pointed it out. Then make sure to rinse it off with clean water (I used the spray bottle I normally use to wipe off the markers from the game and some paper towels). Hope it helps! ![]() |

Good luck. Edit: ah, just saw the link, I have a chessex battlemat btw |

To everyone else, thanks for your advice; i'll probably try oxi-clean and nail polish remover. And then maybe that bizarre glass cleaner. Thanks again guys N gals. |

| #8boraxeDec 29, 2009 8:55:46 | You can get a cleanser from office supply shops specifically designed for cleaning off dry erase boards. Get some and try that. |
| #9KillerGMDec 29, 2009 23:29:38 | ^^ that too, but be careful, it can take up the lines if you leave it on to long/rub too much. Anyway, let us know how it turns out, huh? ![]() ![]() |
