Can't say I fully understand how Brazil's election system works, but this story still strikes me as amusing.

Apparently part of his campaign message was "What does a federal deputy do? Truly, I don't know. But vote for me and I will find out for you."

I really have no objection to a clown running for office, but... it seems there's some controversy over whether or not the guy can read or write?

As for the clown/circus performer/representative thing, so he had a low-wage job before running for office. At least he's open and honest about it. Makes me think of "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington". Dubbed in Portuguese.

Like any socialist system, they took over the means of production by integrating businesses, esp. large businesses, with gov't functions and purposes; they then taxed/stole money from political enemies, who were mostly Jewish, but came from other walks and persuasions; then, using the registration rolls compiled by the Weimar Republic, they disarmed the population and sent their political/religious opponents to slave labor and death camps. A bit simplified, I know, but still accurate.

Government is very bad for humans and other living things. Government is the fourth horseman of the Apocolypse.

Right now in Europe, a lot of right-wing parties, which racist views, are gaining popular satisfaction. Now where in the world is a right-wing movement gaining a lot of popularity and has demagogues for speakers? Where in the world indeed... Dang my tea is too hot.

The Netherlands is approaching this point. Fortunately most politicians here are morons and the person in question doesn't yet have enough votes to get a majority, but it's getting closer.

Then we run out of dirty jobs and these people have children, who are then demonised because their parents have a crappy or no job, and then those children turn to crime, and that's obviously because "they are muslims/turkish/black" instead of because their parents have a deadend job and no education, and everybody is picking on them for being different.

I mean I'm not going to deny that a lot of these people turn to crime, but their religion or ethnicity isn't the reason. The fact that other people think it is, is the main reason.

Anyone who calls himself a Christian, yet stands in favor of the wholesale slaughter of human beings, no matter their "race", is not truly a Christian.

Oct 09, 2010 3:36:04 The war in Afghanistan and Iraq? a means to gain power in the area, as well as a sacrifice of innocents to the dark gods the politicians truly worship. Look at the videos and reports at wikileaks, and look at the number of innocents that are killed by gunships and by Blackwater snipers (or whatever name the mercenaries take these days).
