Going to the movies is an interesting exercise in demographic driven advertising. Go to an action-adventure flick, see MTN DEW. Go to a comedy, see the latest sit-com promo. In our case, we were two grown-ups at a kid targeted movie, UP. My kids are grown and I have one grandson, but none others on the horizon. He was not with us.
The promos were horrid. Not the trailers, which were funny for the most part. The promos were for Cartoon Network's ill-advised venture into live-action reality programming for kids. My husband said disbelievingly, "But it's not a cartoon! What are they thinking?".
Not much, judging by the short intros to these lame programs that could have been more honestly titled "Jacka** Jr., Ghosthunters, Jr., Child vs Wild, and Mythbusters, Jr. No imagination, no talent, just point the cameras and go. Not even a pretext at being entertaining. With a sinking feeling in my stomach, I realized that Cartoon Network has thrown away it's mission, much the same way MTV has. The sad thing is that there are quite a few kid's channels out there. Nick, Noggin, Disney, to name a few.
Cartoon Network could have been so much more. There is no shortage of amazing animation for all ages and themes. While thier programming has been in a slump as of late, that is no excuse. Where is the network that showed me Akira and Vampire Hunter D? That could be showing me Persepolis? That could be scouring the globe looking for amazing sights? Japan did not stop producing anime, but you honestly couldn't tell that by what is being shown now.
It has been a long time since I've watched Cartoon Network. I miss the days of Toonami, Toonheads, and an Adult Swim line-up that was exciting and full of anime every day of the week. As a life-long fan of animation, this turn of events saddens me.
I could care less about their anime offerings (I really only liked Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star), but I do agree that CN is pretty dumb now. King of the Hill? Really? I mean, I know geeks everywhere get a hard-on over Family Guy, but it's not that good, and it certainly doesn't measure up to Sealab 2020/2021. 
I miss Dexter's Lab, the Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Samurai Jack (probably the most disappointing since they never got to end it), Justice League Unlimited, and a bunch of other shows.
Granted, their cartoons of late weren't very good, either, so I lost interest before the live-action stuff really got into full swing.
Anyways, I agree that CN has sucked. My friend highly recommends Boomerang, which shows all of the shows I mentioned, but I'm not going to pay extra for shows I have on DVD.

Well the italian extreme horror films wouldn't be shown on cable tv at all other than IFC/TCM uncut.

Yeah its killing CN despite the fact that money from them goes to fund the new cartoons on the way.

I just get tired of the OMG ANIME!!! If something is good, I'll like it, no matter where it comes from, but I'm not going to like something just because it comes from somewhere. :P
As for the new stuff funding more new cartoons - if they're the same quality as Total Drama Island/Action and 6Teen, count me out.
Though I do like Batman: the Brave and the Bold, and the Star Wars cartoons are awesome. There are a few good things left. :P
Flapjack is the only show I will watch on daytime CN (Despite Andrew W.K.).
I only watch Adult Swim for Robot Chicken and Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

The total drama series & the other flash based series are outsourced from a canadian network so CN didnt have to spend a dime making them only licensing it to show in america.

What? Can you please provide an example of cartoon from Poland that was great? The only thing that comes to my mind are those really old shorts for kids, that multi-national cartoon about kid that was king and those cheap things for immature adults. And a few Oscar-nominated things, but those are really underground.
I'd be ecstatic if they started producing good, main-stream cartoons of international quality in my homeland.
None of the top animes in my list have really ever been shown on cartoon network I never really liked cowboy beebop all that much. But yeah some good cartoons would be nice I do like Ben 10 alien force which starts back up soon, but thats about it even batman is too campy and ridiculous for my taste. Where is the grim dark batman, or Batman Beyond that was a killer show. But yeah not much on cartoon network worth watching.
Bring back Trigun and Samurai Jack, then my rage will be sated.
I miss some of the old shows. I can't really say I like anything at all that's on CN right now. The only thing remotely watchable on the channel are those two Canadian shows, but they pale in comparison to CN's old shows.

I couldn't care less about CN before AS comes on. Do whatever you want. What I do care about is that AS is getting worse and worse. I'm glad the anime has largely taken a hike ('cept for Saturday or whatever), but they keep putting the good shows on later and later. Drop KotH and give me Venture Bros. Bump Family Guy for ATHF, Frisky Dingo, Sealab, Boondocks, Squidbillies, Stroker & Hoop, Metalocolypse etc, etc. What's next? Beavis and Butthead? Ren and Stimpy? Gimme back my good shows, dammit! Oh, and while you're at it, make Korgoth an actual show instead of just a pilot. It was great.

The only time I watch [as] is during the saturday anime block I'm surprised we got through the bleach filler that quick since inuyasha was mostly filler when it was in regualr rotation.

Now, I'm all for creative growth from smart decisions, be them from management, their creative minds in other venues, whatever, but they don't seem to be that smart. And if they are, my God, that scares the Hell out of me in that their marketing research is making a bolder (scary) statement about society than their current subpar line-up.
The majority of the programming (kid's fare) sucks, even from child-like standards. It isn't until well after dark that Adult Swim is allowed to shine, and even then, it's mired w/ a lot of crap, filler, or bad ideas that somehow got up to speed. AdltSwm is, what I thought, put the channel on the map. I mean, apart from hunting and pecking through obscure video outlets, Amazon, trips to various cons, extra difficulties in general, etc., most ppl in the mainstream didn't have access to any anime or good cartoons that didn't have the Disney moniker attached to it. I mean, you can still see the bigass footprint AdltSwm left on pop-culture as a whole.
Now...bad reality programming (which was poor to begin with) is sleazing its way in, the good quality stuff is on at horrendously late hours, and, can I just say, their advertisements (sponsors) leave a little something to be desired.

Nothing's wrong with me. Though I think you're problem is a difference of opinion. 
I think it's an amusing show, and I'm happy for the new (but really just redone) view on Batman. I enjoy this campy version of Batman, just as I enjoyed Adam West's Batman, the movie Batmans (all but Clooney's, actually), B:tAS, Batman Beyond, and Justice League. Do I think it's as good as B:tAS? No. But I like it anyway.
