Whenever you see someone do something you wish you knew how to do, just hit quote. It will show you how they did it.

Attachments are disabled for most of the forums. I think the community art forum allows attachments, but I'm not sure.

Why are they disabled?

Ok, think about the edition wars. Think about who posts and the frequency with which they post. If they could upload any files they wanted to your computer, even if thoes files couldn't harm you in any way, would you want to waste that much storage space and bandwidth?

If I understood all the technical stuff then I could answer that, but I don't know how it all works or nothin' so I ain't informed enough about the subject to have a clue about it. or somethin' like that.

Well, suffice it to say they have to pay a small amoutn of money for every peice of data we send back and forth. They also have to pay for the hardware (or rent it) to store all this information we are sending them. Text takes a small amount of space. Attachments tend to be much bigger. (and thus more exspensive)

Makes sense. So it's basically a money issue thing. They don't want people filling every thread up with attachments because the money comes out of their pockets and not the poster's. Makes a lot of sense.
