Erm...What? I have no idea what you're trying to say. And I know it isn't because it's 12:23 AM here, and I've been up since 8 AM yesterday (today? This morning? Yesterday morning?), my Spell and Grammar checker thinks you're nuts, too. Slightly salted and slowly roasted Macadamias, but nuts nonetheless.

I don't think this is Bill. He normally is much more together. I'm gonna PM him to see......

Maybe he'd been drinking. Drunk posters can do all kinds of wacky things. :D

I don't even know him, but from a quick review of his previous posts, you are correct... this is not the same author (unless he's pulling our leg, which I doubt).

Edit: Nevermind. The post is evidently a satire of the "christians who hate d&d" thread. Nice work.

Thank you very much. Finally someone who posted understood.

Understood? That's a bit presumptuous. You are assuming everyone who read this thread was aware of the other. Without that basis any supposed satire is doomed to failure, it is not a lack of "understanding" on anyone's part. It's kind of like showing Spaceballs to someone who's never seen Star Wars and then accusing them of being thick for not getting the references.

I don't think he was insulting the people who didn't understand.

Jeez...I think I may have ticked off Jayne too much in the other thread

Hmmm, time to look up the COC rules on pointless parody threads. Hmmm apparently this isn't prohibited afteral. Nevermind.

I know, just pointing out that not understanding wasn't the only option.

Jeez...I think I may have ticked off Jayne too much in the other thread

Just cos I don't agree with you about something doesn't mean I'm "ticked off". It takes a lot more than a simple net discussion to get me riled up. And generally I respond to posts, not posters. Even if I disagree with someone in one thread doesn;t mean I take it to another.

Cheers.

just pointing out that not understanding wasn't the only option.

Semantically, I believe it was. Mind you, I agree that those that didn't understand weren't necessarily lacking in any ability. It was an obscure (and possibly lame) joke... but such things are common enough around geeks like us.

Now to be less obscure:
this looks like my thread christians who hate d&d but the link works just it is almost exactly the same words

Evidently the initial post in this thread was making fun of the initial post in your thread... likely because your posts are illegible. If you are very young or speak English as a 2nd language, then you have an excuse.

The above statement is not meant to insult you, but to be direct.

whats does this have to do with anything

so what if some d&d playing hate Christians or vise versa

why even care about it its something so minutely un-important its pointless to mention

each to there own

people shouldnt get bogged down in religion and justhave a good game

dont you agree?

For anyone thinking of responding:
This was a (silly) fake thread that hasn't been posted to in several months. I'm not sure what kanettt's purpose was in re-animating it, but the topic never was an issue.

Looks like it was missed in the great thread purge of '08. Go infidels!
