| #1XeadinAug 12, 2009 22:46:19 | This is kind of a fun one- this is where you get to brainstorm ideas and describe a world that you think up. For those of you that have a creative mind, this thread is for YOU! :D I'll start us off with an example: ---------- Forklare Temple: A lone spire rises from a dead valley, as the legendary Forklare Temple looms overhead the trail leading up the spiraling staircase to the entrance of the temple gates. Various avians can be seen hovering close to the steep rock, as they nest on their weblike shelters on the sheer cliffside of the blood red rock. Smoke rises frm the top as if the spire was a chimney of volcanic activity. Thunder booms across the landscape, as the forboding boom resounds off of the bare cliffs of the lonely spire. ---------- Now, you give it a shot! Think of a place where you think that an adventuring party might want to visit, a place where no man has gone before, or something that inspires you along the way. This is all you, so you call the shots! Some important things to remember: Make sure that the place is appropriate for a D&D setting- don't get too carried away with a place, such as Gumdrop Island, or Candyland, or anything of that sort. That stuff is not appropriate for D&D. It is imperative that you don't take somene elses idea (such as taking a pre- made D&D adventure that WotC had already made), unless it is absolutely necessary- plagarism is not acceptable. Make sure that if you are going to use a specific element from an adventure that you identify in some way where the source came from. You can make the idea as short or long as you want, but don't make it too long or too short- too short of ideas don't draw any attention to many people; too long of descriptons make the reader tire out. The average description size should be about 2- 4 Paragraphs, but is not recommended. Go crazy- make a super campaign for all I care! :D That is all I have to say. ![]() |
