| #2draco1119Sep 26, 2011 20:47:10 | Meh. She be ok but she ain't no Michelle Pfeiffer. I agree with the Michelle Pfeiffer comment. As for the heels, Catwoman wears them in the comics, so they kinda have to be in the movie, ridiculous or no. I think the half-mask with ears looks pretty stupid, though. |
| #3homicidal_squirrelSep 26, 2011 21:15:39 | Meh. She be ok but she ain't no Michelle Pfeiffer. Funny.... I didn't noticed the mask. I was distracted by other parts of the costume. |
| #4EscherEnigmaSep 26, 2011 21:16:57 | As for the heels, Catwoman wears them in the comics, so they kinda have to be in the movie, ridiculous or no. If that were true1 then Barbara would've been old enough to be Batgirl in this movie and Gordon would have been all "son? What son?" Oh. And they wouldn't have started with Scarecrow. And Batman would have bat-spray bat-reppellant. And There would be an acrobat in tights following Batman around. And Batman would have had an extended campy phase before he got serious. ________ 1That they have to follow the comics. |
| #5homicidal_squirrelSep 26, 2011 21:19:56 | As for the heels, Catwoman wears them in the comics, so they kinda have to be in the movie, ridiculous or no. You must have blocked it out... |
| #6EscherEnigmaSep 26, 2011 21:36:07 | Nah, I didn't block it out. I think I'm the only comic-fan in the world tha tactually liked Batman Forever and Batman and Robin. But Nolan's Batman is pretty much ignoring the campy aspects of Batman and the rest of the Bat-family. It really does feel like he's trying to stick to the feel of Batman: Year One, and throwing anything under the wheel that might admit the silly history of the character. |
| #7draco1119Sep 26, 2011 21:37:05 | As for the heels, Catwoman wears them in the comics, so they kinda have to be in the movie, ridiculous or no. I said "kinda". You know how us comic geek fanboys get. We gotta have our fetishes catered to, dammit! ![]() |
| #8draco1119Sep 26, 2011 21:41:16 | Nah, I didn't block it out. I think I'm the only comic-fan in the world tha tactually liked Batman Forever and Batman and Robin. I liked Batman Forever. It was campy but fun. Batman and Robin was campy but stupid. I liked Uma as Poison Ivy a lot, but Ahnold's Mr. Freeze was horrid, and they absolutely nerfed Bane. I mean, seriously? The guy who knocked Bruce Wayne out of commission as Batman by breaking his back gets taken down by Robin and a new Batgirl?! |
| #9pluisjenSep 27, 2011 4:31:39 | It's probably because these aren't shots from the movie but the scene, but she looks extremely boring and unheroic. Then again, she probably is. This is why you shouldn't judge the movie (or characters) based on pictures taken on set ^^ |
| #10KillerGMSep 27, 2011 10:14:57 | In the pic where she's walking next to the Bat-cycle (ha!), she looks a lot like Julie Newmar (though not as cool) - similar hair/ear/mask style and belt. I really liked the Catwoman costume from the cover of Game Informer (though she had to be standing on a ledge or something). |
| #11zombie_babiesSep 27, 2011 15:55:18 | I loves me some Anne Hatheway, but they could have made her costume a better showcase of her talents. At least they didn't go the Conan route: 'hey, we got Rose MacGowan for the project! Great! Now let's find a way to make her ugly!' Morons. ![]() |
| #12bone_nagaSep 28, 2011 18:11:11 | 'hey, we got Rose MacGowan for the project! Great! Now let's find a way to make her ugly!' I thought it was a slight improvement. |
| #13draco1119Sep 28, 2011 19:44:05 | 'hey, we got Rose MacGowan for the project! Great! Now let's find a way to make her ugly!' You've obviously never seen "The Doom Generation". Her assets are literally the only reason to see that movie. ![]() |
| #14draco1119Nov 27, 2011 2:52:14 | Since this was the first Batman thread I ran across... Could this be the beginning of the Azrael era? |
| #15homicidal_squirrelNov 27, 2011 13:02:29 | In the link above I found this: "is all about finishing Batman and Bruce Wayne's story," and takes place eight years after "The Dark Knight." The film will feature an older and more physically challenged Batman, which will cause serious problems when it comes to facing off against the Tom Hardy-portrayed villain, Bane. Maybe because he is 8 years older, and he suffered a couple of injuries. This version of Batman tends to be a bit more realistic. As for the era of Asrael, I don't think so. Chances are we will just get another reboot a few years down the line. Or, if we are unfortunate enough, the studio will give the franchise over to some other director who will eventually end up turning it into that tragedy that had Mr. Freeze in it. |

| #17LFKDec 20, 2011 23:29:16 | Forget the costume. Hathaway's line delivery in the new trailer sold me. |
| #18homicidal_squirrelDec 22, 2011 20:55:56 | Link doesn't work. Don't know what happened with the link, but here is a new link with the trailer.movies.yahoo.com/movie/1810159433/video/...- |
| #19mr_handsomeDec 23, 2011 11:58:00 | Yeah, I saw that preview yesterday when I went to see Sherlock Holmes. I prefer the darker Nolan movies so I'm part of the happy crowd. I thought Halle Berry was sexier but at least Anne Hathaway can actually act. Hopefully they'll make her look good too and drop the cheesy meowing. |
| #20homicidal_squirrelDec 23, 2011 13:40:51 | Yeah, I saw that preview yesterday when I went to see Sherlock Holmes. I prefer the darker Nolan movies so I'm part of the happy crowd. Haley Berry hotter than Anne Hathaway? Blasphemer! ![]() |
| #21draco1119Dec 23, 2011 18:32:18 | There is nothing attractive about Haley Barry. You're just mad cuz she won't put out for white guys unless it's in a movie. ![]() She's got a great set of [Section 2 Violation]. Of course, Anne Hathaway does, too... |
| #22homicidal_squirrelDec 23, 2011 20:03:06 | There is nothing attractive about Haley Barry. Actually, she does put out,you just have to be some model. |
| #23zombie_babiesDec 27, 2011 10:04:10 | How the fudge is Halle physically unattractive in any way? Like, I've honestly never, ever - even once - heard any straight guy say she was even a tiny bit ugly. Hell, I've heard racists admit she looked good. This makes no sense. It huwts my bwains. Why? ![]() |
| #24pluisjenDec 27, 2011 10:10:00 | I don't think she's very attractive, really This might not come as a surprise though. Especially on the photograph posted by squirrel she doesn't look very special. |
| #25zombie_babiesDec 29, 2011 8:14:26 | Damn, yo. That's messed up. I get what you're saying, though. I have a type (or 5 ;)) as well so yeah, I feel ya. |
