I've always thought DM's dice could be no other style ;) I like simple things; the only not plain coloured I own are a gray runic d6, a "radioactive" yellow d6 and the blue d20 from the D&D Miniatures starter set.

#7 Mad_Jack Jul 20, 2011 16:44:52	Thirty-one years of playing and you want to know what brand my dice are? lol My dice range in color and pattern from brown d6's with white spots to clear crystal dice with uncolored numbers to the multi-hued swirly Chessex sets. I'm basically an anti - "dice snob" - I pick up anything that happens to catch my interest on a particular day, which even sometimes happens to be a generic-as-you-can-get opaque neutral-colored die with uncolored numbers, lol.  I still have some of my dice from the Red Box basic set... My flgs has trays of dice just sitting on the shelf, and I usually just pick through them so I have no idea what brand most of them are. I do have a bunch of Chessex, though, including two sets not shown in the pic - blue and gold swirled with white letters and a green speckled set with gold numbers.   Show
#8 grehnhewe Jul 20, 2011 16:46:21	I just have a set of gem dice I have had for years, multiples of each kind of dice, and one color for each type of dice.   My DM d20s (one easy to read and one hard to read) are rounded and they roll around all over the place and sometimes take a little while to settle on a number.  They cause a lot of laughs at the game table.

Most come from other fantasy board games (Dragon Strike, Key to the Kingdom, etc), my first official D&D dice set was purchased before I even started playing D&D (and I still have it), and I have two small boxes of d20s from a friend that used to own a game store.

Escef - Sterling silver dice?!?!?!  Way cool!  But, please, tell me you don't use them for gaming!  Tell me you keep them in their original velvet-lined container!

Very stylish, although some can be a little hard to read, but still they look super cool! I want to get a metal set, but having a little trouble finding some, ussually I only see d6s or maybe a d20 but never a complete set.

#16 zombie_babies Jul 21, 2011 13:25:23	I bought a hand made leather pouch with a skull medallion on the string at the last Ren Faire I went to for my dice.  Before that I'd been using an old pill container.  It's small but it holds two sets of Dwarven Stones (one small, one medium) just fine.

For several years now I've been using a tough little bag (probably nylon based) I got from my FLGS with their name and addy embroided on it. I think I've had it for 8 or 9 years.

#25 zombie_babies Jul 21, 2011 15:47:23	Nobody needs 'em, they're just really cool to have.  My friend also picked up an obsidian set.  He never used it, though.  Just thought they were cool I guess.  Another friend spent like $100 or whatever it was on that special edition 3.5 DMG that was leather bound an' junk.  Same reason.  Figured he'd played so long why not.  Dice are not edition dependent (yet), though.  ;)

My bag is made from some type of thick green cotton material, or maybe lightweight canvas. I've had it since junior high and at various times over the years it has also contained cassette tapes and several other things it would violate the CoC to mention, lol.

Ive been lookin for a new dice bag, something a little different, that just might be the ticket! None of those really look suitable for a dice bag though, the pouch maybe, but I dont liuke the zipper on the side. Oooohhhh you could just buy the material and make what ever you wanted, wonder how durable that stuff is? Would it even make a good dice bag? Hmmmm 100-130 Euros for a 38x47 inch piece. How much would that be in real money?

How much would that be in real money? Since they do skin grafts with this stuff sometimes, I imagine that it's fairly indestructible.  As for price... Pretend that Euros are like our dollars, and ours are like Canadia's.  Just add ~$10 to the price for $US.

The steampunk ones are pretty cool, I dont like Harry Potter but those Deathly Hollows dice look pretty damn cool. And the spore ones look very interesting. Damn if only I had another 100 bucks in my dice fund!
