They are both very intelligent and both great at plotting and planning. It would be the battle of the brains. Who do you think would win?

EDIT:

If we are to assume that there are mecha then we should also assume that both Lelouch and Light would have access to them.

Lets assume that Light has the Japanese police force on his side and many loyal fanatical devotees.

Lets also assume that Lelouch has the black knights at his command.

Lets also assume that they will be using their aliases Zero and L/Kira instead of their actual names.

GO!

It depends, really. If Light can get a look behind Zero's mask, he can simply write him to death. If Lelouch looks Light in the eye, he can order Light to kill himself.

I'm gonna go with Lelouch in this case, simply because he has an actual organization, and Light doesn't. Not to mention that Light is an *******.

That is the thing. They both need to see each other to kill each other but they both have aliases they use to move around and about with. Lelouch does have the black knights which is helpful, but one must remember that Light has much of the police force and many fanatical citizens under his control. They would likely use each others powers to kill underlings and not each other.

Assuming their both at the height of power?
Hmm...
Probably Light. He's just so damn ruthless that in the inevitable spiral of planning and counterplanning he'd get the upper hand (remember L!)

Lelouch would win.

Giant Mecha + Psionics > Magic.

Lelouch would win.

Giant Mecha + Psionics > Magic.

The thing is that many of the black knight are known to the world, or at least is on the news and net, both by picture and name, so many of the black knights would be dead quite quickly. This fight would quickly turn into one of spying, sabotage, and assassination.

But Lelouch has nameless mooks.

Light can just get another person to make a deal with Ryuk so that they can see a persons name and stuff. At this point the nameless would no longer be nameless. C2 may be a problem though.

It's CC.

And Light has stated he would never make the deal.

Also LN > CE

In the english dubs it sounds like they say C2. They maybe saying that because CC happens to be 2 C's, thus C2.

I know Light would not make the deal, but he has convinced others to make it for him.

CC is pronouced See-Two.

Lelouch would find a Death Note, then Geas someone to use it for him.

CC is pronouced See-Two.

So it is basically OK for me to put C2.

Lelouch would find a Death Note, then Geas someone to use it for him.

You don't just find those things laying around.

You could. Sorry I went all OMFG BLASPHEME!

You don't just find those things laying around.

Light would beg to differ.

The one he picked up was just tossed on the ground but it was not tossed specifically for him but rather just randomly dropped for anybody to pickup. I don't think the same thing would happen for Lelouch unless another death god wanted to toy with and entertain Ryuk. I doubt it would happen because the death gods are uninterested in our world. If anything it would be Ryuk that would give Lelouch the death note but likely only for his own kicks.

My point exactly. We all know Ryuk will pull that for kicks 'n giggles ('n apples).

And Lelouche seems more the the guy that would give him apples.

And Ryuk is also quite likely to screw Lelouch over for just kicks and giggles.

Ryuk, would likely try and make this last as long as possible just for his own entertainment.

Unless a Geass would work on a god 'o death!
#18

dirtyfrank

Feb 10, 2009 23:55:08
Probably not. If it did then Ryuk would then not let Lelouch mess with the book, or at least Lelouch would save it for the right moment and thus giving Ryuk enough time to screw over Lelouch.

But CC would totally save Lelouch's ass.

Would a Death Note work on CC?

CC could really only save him if she could see or sense Ryuk. CC is suppose to be to be immortal so it may not work. The big concern is whether or not Light would be able to get her real name. If anything she would just be captured and made a prisoner.

Woo! I'm a trendsetter!

And Light would win this. Light brought the U.S. and most of the rest of the world to it's knees. In worship! And if Light beat L, I think he's 'battle of the brains' champion.

Couldn't Lelouch keep using his geass to turn Light's underlings into spies? This would definitely make things hard for Light.

The real question here is if they start knowing about each other. If they don't and just receive instructions to kill "this guy in the photo because he's meddling with your plans", then Light wins by a long shot. Let's face it, Geassed people are much easier to notice than a bunch of people dropping dead from heart attacks or whatever accident Light envisions.

Now, if they DO know all about each other ('cept names, otherwise it's an insta-win for Light), then Lulu probably wins. He can simply Geass world leaders and have a bomb fall on Light's house or something, before he can get close. Essentially, information is what decides the battle.

I see it as a fight between Zero and L, and not one between Lulu and Light. It would be basically a fight between two people that nobody knows.

I have edited the OP with a few assumptions that would be safe to make about this match up.

I have edited the OP with a few assumptions that would be safe to make about this match up.

Well, I'd beg to differ on "L" being an alias of Light's and to use Kira instead, but he *did* sorta become "the second L", at least in the eyes of the police force he is working with.

Hmmm. Well, if they would ever come to face one another, Zero/Lulu could possibly get the aid of detectives who are after Kira. If Near and Mello may be taken to be alive (Near at least, I'm assuming this is after the one-year timeskip for the Death Note side of the battle), then he has got some really smart allies on his side. Multiple brains can think more and faster than one (and if Near is as smart as Lulu, they would easily figure him out and find evidence.

If Near, Mello and L (the real L Lawliet) may not be involved in this, it would obviously be tougher. (And let's not start about Britannia.) Still though, think about this: would Light be watching when Lulu commanded everyone to obey him?

(That one is not really part of the matter, due to the conditions you put up, but it is still a thing to think about.)
