Jan 13, 2011 16:04:59 I cannot believe such people are still allowed to breed. Still, I love a good ridicule and the article had me smiling. At least until I remembered that the people in the stands were real. They certainly seem deserving of ridicule.

It's a shame about the daughter though. Kids shouldn't grow up like that.

Jan 13, 2011 17:02:58 A definite shame about the daughter; I kind of feel sorry that the court didn't remove her from such poisonous parents entirely, though from the article the mother was worse.

The poor girl has been fed a pack of lies by her mother, and is currently in custody of her rather controlling maternal grandparents. (Yeah, let's put the girl in the custody of the people who made her mother the screwed up individual she is, brilliant.)

Can't hold down a job cuz mommy an' daddy always pay his bills (at one point - unemployed, living at home and renting his house out he decided he liked his dad's car better and had his parents buy him one, for example), always moving, always late, etc. Total moron. And a complete bastard to her. But he's a good dad overall and we do everything we can to maintain at the very least a neutral attitude and tone when discussing him in front of the kid. He's getting worse, though, and wants to move again (he moves 2 to 3 times a year) in order to be closer to his job. So this may require a change in the 50/50 parenting plan. Likely he'll want the kid on all the weekends so we get him during the week but not then. He also will likely want us to take the kid the 30 miles or whatever it is to him and pick him up, too. Oh yeah, the kid also isn't allowed to do anything I do or like. He takes her to mediation and has the mediator (who has biases against the things I do - hunting, shooting, martial arts) in order to get it in writing, too. Hell, the kid wasn't allowed to play soccer simply because I happened to show him a couple of things when we were playin' around last summer. Honest to god. He is the most entitled **** I've ever met (wonder why - I mean, what with mommy an' daddy always catering to his every whim and never, ever saying he did anything wrong). But we still do our best to keep this irritation in check around the kid in order to keep from poisoning his relationship with his dad. The boy is 12 now, though, and starting to see some of the things we do. Hopefully that'll help with whatever happens with this newest selfish move.

Anyhoo, I like what the judge did here. These people are idiots and need to be told as much. It's a lesson they won't learn (and I imagine both will try to sue the judge or something) but at least he tried.
