#1 lord_byron1 Aug 10, 2009 12:36:59	I recently went into my local book shop in the UK and noticed they had taken off the shelf all role playing books. Has this happened in other parts of the UK? Is there anybody that works for Waterstones book shops that can tell me why this happened? It doesn't actually bother me though, I have loads of source material and books already (most of them i don't use anyway).

Why didn't YOU ask the bookstore employees? Please do so and report back. 25 or so years ago the best RPG equiped hobby store in the area decided that D&D (and other fantasy) rpgs were evil/bad, and pulled them... sad day. They put up signs to tell us they were doing it but not why. Not much left in those days. The hobby shop was own by a religous bookstore, but we found that out years later.
