Sometimes the dogs get a bug up their b*tt and chase a cat and other times it is the cats that decide to chase down one of the dogs (or both of them). If you only have one type or the other, you are missing half the fun of owning cats and dogs. ![]() ***** |

| #3stardrifterOct 13, 2008 19:05:20 | Do you find that if you have an adult dog when you get a kitten, or an adult cat when you get a puppy, the adult influences the little one? You end up with a cat with dog traits or vice versa. |

When I aggravate the female cat, by giving her some medication, see immediatly respond by attacking her brother. She smacks him around and bite him in the neck. After this treatment, the male cat goes after the dog. This big stupid dog as only one reaction, he comes to hide at my feet, hoping I will fend off the cat. The cat could fit in his head, but he is afraid. This comes probably from his youth, he was the last to join the group. He was a little puppy while the cats where already adults. When he was little, the cats would dominate him. Now, such a group of animals makes pretty entertaining pets. |

| #6killerdungeonmasterOct 14, 2008 16:59:19 | The wife and I have 3 cats, all of them huge females (sisters) of no less than 14 pounds each (one is actually 21 pounds). After a while we ended up getting a girl maltese as a puppy. She grew up with the 3 cats for about a year when we ended up getting her brother as well (he was at my father-in-law's house). Now, the girl maltese is very cat-like and mellow. The boy maltese is all 100% spazoid boy dog. Since the cats are larger than the dogs, they tend to boss them around so long as they are in numbers greater than 1. If a cat is caught alone, the dogs have great fun running around the house after them. Really, it is some funny stuff to see all of them chase this way, turn around be chased back the other way. Ninja attacks are common as well. Pets rule. ![]() ***** |

Rolled in some really nasty stuff, was so proud of myself. Humans were less than impressed. 10:30 a.m. Got my tummy rubbed and petted -- I'm in love! 12:00 p.m. Lunch: yummy! 1:00 p.m. Played in the yard: I loved it! 3:00 p.m. Stared adoringly at my masters ... they're the best! 4:00 p.m. Hooray! The kids got home! I was so happy I was bouncing off the walls! 5:00 p.m. Milkbones -- awesome! 7:00 p.m. Got to play ball! What a day, this was too good to be true! 8:00 p.m. Wow: watching TV with my master! Heavenly! EXCERPTS FROM A CAT'S DAILY DIARY: Day 683 of My Captivity: My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed Hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the Rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomited on the floor. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a ''good little hunter'' I am. The audacity. There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noise and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to my power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage. Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow-- but at the top of the stairs. I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released--and he seems more than willing to return! He is obviously retarded. The bird has got to be an informant--I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. The captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safeāfor now. But I can wait. It is only a matter of time... |

| #10rizen_isstaria_dupOct 16, 2008 22:56:00 | I have two male cats, their brothers and complete opposites. Artemis a light tan color and around 14lbs. He is extremely energetic and smart. He has a laser that he chirps for. He's also very obsessed with me, I think he thinks I'm his mom. Spore is orange and around 24lbs, he's very fat and lazy. He lays down when he eats, sometimes falling asleep with his face in his food bowl. He has the oddest quirks I've ever seen in a cat. He sleeps on his back or uses a pillow. He also smells like poop, and has an obsession with butts (just not his). If he sits by you, its by your butt and sometime he beds on your butt too. Spore is a freak. ![]() |
