Stupid sets, stupid props, stupid effects, stupid names for stuff, stupid plot, stupid acting ... it's just ... bad. I can't see how Hollywood could damage this franchise in the least, truth be told.

They need a good scenario, good actors and money. Something better then the Hercules: the Legendary Journeys grade crap they have now.

Z_B would like Doctor Who more if Tom Baker had handed out zombie babies, rather than jelly babies.

I have to admit that Doctor Who has alway had a comparatively rubbishy quality and campiness to it. Maybe that is part of what I love, and the fact that my dad let me stay up late to watch Tom Baker when I was A kid.

I have heard about possibilities for a Doctor Who movie. High production and a re-imaginining might be cool, but "a few years" sounds like production hell. I do not mind the current doctor, and although I have not seen every episode, I always look forward to the Christmas episode.
