Seeing the popularity of duels lately, I propose we settle duels in a different, simpler way.
I will start as champion, and the first one to post a challenge will roll a d20, no modifiers, I in return will roll a d20 without modifiers. Whoever rolls highest is the current champion. The winner describes the duel in a short paragraph.

The two combatants face each other, both drawing their swords as they square off, circling each other like animals. The elf makes the first move, a flurry of white and gold hurtling towards the other, sword coming down for a strike from above the head. With a flick of the wrist the other, a human in bland clothing compared to the extravagance of the white and gold, manages to turn the blade away down to his side then with startling agility lunges towards his assailant, glancing his blow across a beautiful gold breastplate. Ar'thas turns his blade and again slashes down towards Talison's midsection but he swiftly steps into him, using his shoulder to push him away and then driving his sword through the weakness in the plate at the neck.
Do i have the basic gist of what I'm doing here?

Obviously, the dragons won't help him in these PbP challenges, but will carry him to and from each battle.

So, i'll get to the explaining shall I.
The sound of a sword being drawn alerts Talison to somebody behind him, he turns quickly and draws his sword in one fluid motion as another human rushes him, his sword held ready to run him through. He barely dodges the coming onslaught, flying to his left and rolling, coming up on his feet ready to take the next assault. Seeing that his attack missed, Serrin growls at himself and comes at Talison again, this time slashing from right to left, hoping to catch him on his undefended side after the roll. He catches the blade on his rapier and steps away with a preternatural swiftness, knowing this man is stronger than him. Serrin swings towards Talison's head, hoping to make him shorter, but he ducks under the blade, going down on one knee and thrusts his rapier upwards into the chest of Serrin, the wide swing of his managing to catch Talison on the shoulder, cutting it so it's still usable but blood flows from it still.
took a little longer cause we both rolled the same number first time :D
