Jul 18, 2009 21:42:20 Since the Duke Nukem Forever development team was laid off in early may their have been a lot of interesting developments in the story. In the law suit Take-Two filed against 3d Realms it was revealed that Gearbox was developing another Duke Nukem game and that 3D was counting on that money to finish DNF. About the only thing that both sides agree on is that DNF is NOT canceled. Now what really gets me is that DNF got an official facebook page that now appears to be gone. I've never played a Duke Nukem game in my life but epic scope of this disaster just dumbfounds me. I mean this game has been in development for 12 years! I could make a game in 12 years and all my programing experience consists of a Q Basic class in high school.

That was awesome!

In all honesty... I don't think they should make a new DN game. I mean, if they did, what would we use to define the term "vapourware?" There isn't a more famous example than DNF. :D

During late July, 2009 Scott Miller made a statement on his Facebook account, saying "If you haven’t heard, [Duke] took a little break, but is back in the game now."[81] Shortly after, it was revealed that an official Duke Nukem Facebook page was created, wherein screenshots of Duke Nukem Forever began to be posted. Currently there are four new images on the page, one featuring the Cycloid Emperor and the rest of the Battlelord.[citation needed] On July 17, 2009 the page was taken down due to Facebook having a policy about not allowing accounts for fictional characters. Later that day Scott Miller announced that a official fan page would be put up the following week. Later that day another image was released on the Duke Nukem profile shortly before being taken down; the image showed the back of a stripper from the game.

On July 20th Scott Miller stated that he wasn't in a hurry to put the fan page up and it would probably be up in a month or two. "Probably within a month or two. Not in any hurry to set it up. Plus, when I do, I want to have some cool news to debut on it." - Scott Miller

You're putting off making a facebook page..... I've know fictional bears, balloons and evil cartoon business tycoons have facebook pages. I thought this was something you could literally not mess up.
