Dwarf Fortress 2010 Released Today!

Apr 01, 2010 15:45:38 Easiest way to grab it right now is through the Wiki rather than the Bay12 site (which was being hammered hard last time I checked).

There's a lot of changes to the game, the ones that excite me the most being the Underground, doctors, and boroughs as well as several tasks that are now automated.

If you've never played before now's a great time to give it a chance, since a lot of the minor changes are to make the game easier to play.

Apr 01, 2010 17:10:24 Also watch out 'cus Dwarves dig a channel by first digging a down ramp then clearing the ramp behind them. This might mess up diagonal seepage tactics for deep-plumbing.
