#1 nivlac_calvin Feb 15, 2009 22:02:34	rant/ I assume most people know how there are extreamly zealous people saying D&D is evil and should be banned, well our DM is acctually a DOCTOR of theology, and he has nothing against it, he's our freaking DM! And we play just like any other group, our PCs are even evil. We kick down the door, stab the monster, chop of its arm, and beat it to death with its own arm. (It was a ghoul, it acctually happened) So what's up? A flipping preist is our DM! Whats the big deal. /rant
#2 Novacat Feb 15, 2009 22:10:45	So? It's been demonstrated time and again that Christians play D&D. You don't have to have a theology degree to know the tenants of your faith and recognize that something isn't wrong. Sorry, you've failed to impress me.

I have, myself, been teased for my moral standpoint. For instance, I became the butt of countless gay jokes in one gaming group because I don't go to strip clubs, I don't want to view pictures of nekkid women, and I don't notice when a "hottie" walks by. So, because I'm not a horn-dog, I must be gay. EDIT: Also, I think Paris Hilton is hideous.

Kind of funny coming from a guy who reads fantasy literature.

#9 shinikama Feb 16, 2009 11:31:37	Actually had a guy walk into our FLGS and try to "convert" us once. Half the group had just come from church, while the other half just laughed at him. Guy wouldn't just bugger off. Eventually left because one of us finished a quote from the bible the man started.

I'm also a Christian (Catholic) and I see the bashing of Jesus, and all religion in general, by D&D players more often than any sort of bashing on D&D by non gamers.
#11 pigknight Feb 17, 2009 0:00:13	I'm very Christian-y and I've seen a few things: 1) D&D gets angels right more often than most people. 2) The demons and devils are ment to be pinatas full of delicous xp. 3) Paris Hilton is ugly. 4) Good guys tend to be stronger.
