| #1EscherEnigmaOct 12, 2011 19:37:58 | [60 question quiz (61 if you count the male/female question)] I scored 31, which is apparently at the high end of "low". Which amuses me, I thought I'd score higher. Maybe I've just been in a sub-set of society1 for so long that my expectations of "normal" are low? ________ 1Scientists and engineers, and those that would be scientists and engineers. |
| #2Ragnar_LodbrokOct 12, 2011 20:03:48 | I got a 28, which is at the upper end of low. |
| #3homicidal_squirrelOct 12, 2011 20:27:29 | Interesting. 65, the low end of very high. |
| #4jetshieldOct 12, 2011 21:47:01 | Your score: 25 0 - 32 = low (most people with Asperger Syndrome or high-functioning autism score about 20) Seems accurate ![]() |
| #5EscherEnigmaOct 12, 2011 22:19:22 | Hrm... it seems the tavern is full of anti-social loners who have the empathy of a mutated swamp rat. Except for HS. He's the outlier. Very interesting... |
| #6jetshieldOct 12, 2011 22:35:04 | Or that this "test" is about as useful as an extra hole in the head. ![]() |
| #7EscherEnigmaOct 12, 2011 22:46:22 | Seeing as one day I hope to have a data port wired directly to my spinal column and/or nervous center, I think an extra hole in my head, properly placed, would be quite useful. That said, yeah, the test isn't terribly useful for us. But it is amusing. And isn't that what counts? |
| #8homicidal_squirrelOct 12, 2011 23:22:20 | Your score: 25 So does that mean you're all a bunch of mutated swamp rats with low self esteem? |
| #9Mad_JackOct 12, 2011 23:32:40 | These types of tests are basically completely useless for me since they reduce things to a single score, whereas I'm never that simple. I scored 41, which is average, but I always score average on these things since about half my answers are usually close to the middle-of-the-road and the rest are out on the extreme fringes, which always tends to average out to, well, average... People have told me I'd make a great serial killer. |
| #10EscherEnigmaOct 12, 2011 23:35:20 | Hrm... it seems the tavern is full of anti-social loners who have the empathy of a mutated swamp rat. Surprised? No. Amused to have it confirmed by science1? Yes. So does that mean you're all a bunch of mutated swamp rats with low self esteem? ... Hm... I'm gonna go with "no". I don't think anyone would mistake me for someone that has a low sense of self-esteem. The empathy of a mutated swamp rat? Possibly. But to put in playground terms... my Ego can beat up your Ego. And don't even get me started about my Super Ego or Id. |
| #11Mad_JackOct 12, 2011 23:41:07 | And don't even get me started about my Super Ego or Id. When I read this, I immediately pictured a drawing of you wearing a cape with a big "E" on your chest... |
| #12EscherEnigmaOct 12, 2011 23:46:26 | Hm... no shield on the chest, but it does have me wearing a cape. [link] |
| #13pluisjenOct 13, 2011 2:55:48 | I scored a 43, which is apparently average. On the other hand, I also think it's a silly test. |
| #14The_SilverswordOct 13, 2011 3:27:07 | I hate taking tests, especially online ones, theres some damn goofy tests online, like find out what xmen you are or whatever, and ofcourse friends always send me these links like oh man you got to try this and then constantly bug me about it did you take the test yet did you take the test yet? so i take the stupid test and hey it turns out im Rogue, a girl, great, so yeah i generaly stay away from online tests, but... ok so im bored, so I did it got a 47 which appreantly is average for... women!!? what the hey!? |
| #15Cpt_MichaOct 13, 2011 7:54:01 | 52. Though I think the test fielded some rather odd questions, furthermore anyone with a truly massive ego problem and sense of self worth would score at least that much. |
| #16EscefOct 13, 2011 7:54:06 | I don't need a test to tell me I hate people. Work with the public for a few years; if you didn't hate people before, you will. |
| #17Cpt_MichaOct 13, 2011 7:55:09 | I don't need a test to tell me I hate people. Work with the public for a few years; if you didn't hate people before, you will. Having worked with people for a good while I'm sure that also damaged my score heh. After a while it's just hard to give a damn anymore. |
| #18zombie_babiesOct 13, 2011 9:55:11 | What would ya'all guess I scored? Go ahead and guess before ya peek ya goobers. Answer I got me a 22. Yippee! |
| #19pluisjenOct 13, 2011 10:07:02 | Woah, and here I was guessing you'd have a 30. |
| #20oxybeOct 13, 2011 13:24:40 | 18 scored & about 5 years of tech support under my 26-year old belt. makes sense considering my stance on people: people, i like. people, i dislike |
| #21draco1119Oct 13, 2011 15:11:48 | Your score: 15 What a surprise; I hate people. ![]() |
| #22draco1119Oct 13, 2011 15:28:49 | Heh. You try living in "the system" for a few years, working customer service for several years after that, and then being a telemarketer who calls car dealers and then tell me how empathetic you are. ![]() |
| #23draco1119Oct 13, 2011 16:21:49 | being a telemarketer who calls car dealers and then tell me how empathetic you are. Nope. I already had one. ![]() |
| #24homicidal_squirrelOct 13, 2011 16:29:26 | It's as if the tavern is full of people with Aspergers. |
| #25homicidal_squirrelOct 13, 2011 16:46:13 | Imagine what an OTTer gathering would be like. No one would talk to each other. |
| #26oxybeOct 13, 2011 16:47:07 | It's as if the tavern is full of people with Aspergers. i think it's more like we consist of the jaded outer rim of humanity, then people who have a legitimate disorder. i mean, we can still feel emotion, we've just learned not to care about the general idiots who make our jobs difficult. |
| #27homicidal_squirrelOct 13, 2011 16:55:58 | It's as if the tavern is full of people with Aspergers. Yes. |
| #28homicidal_squirrelOct 13, 2011 16:58:17 | It's as if the tavern is full of people with Aspergers. No, I think I'm stiking to the Aspergers diagnosis ![]() |
| #29homicidal_squirrelOct 13, 2011 17:16:39 | It's as if the tavern is full of people with Aspergers. |
| #30Mad_JackOct 13, 2011 17:25:43 | being a telemarketer who calls car dealers Used car dealers? Cuz if you spent your time harrassing used car dealers, then I consider that a pubkic service and you should get a medal for it. |
| #31grehnheweOct 13, 2011 18:06:36 | I scored a 57 ...don't hate me, I might be able to tell if you do |
| #32bone_nagaOct 13, 2011 18:15:06 | I got a 64. |
| #33Cpt_MichaOct 13, 2011 19:53:20 | wait so Naga, apparently HS, grehn and I are the most sociable? That scares me. |
| #34EscherEnigmaOct 13, 2011 20:05:32 | Imagine what an OTTer gathering would be like. No one would talk to each other. Then we'd get drunk. Then we wouldn't care. |
| #35EscherEnigmaOct 13, 2011 20:07:26 | wait so Naga, apparently HS, grehn and I are the most sociable? You know how you're supposed to develop social skills in your teen years and what not? I spent most of that time trying to lock my emotions up in a bottle and hide my feelings and thoughts from the rest of the world for fear they'd beat the snot out of me if I let it slip. And then I worked multiple fastfood jobs, a call center job, and then tech support, before finally become a library worker. I don't know what excuse the rest of you have. |
| #36Cpt_MichaOct 13, 2011 20:30:31 |
Which directly translates to how well you can manage yourself and others in social environments. Which, again Scares Me. I need to be held. EE. My excuse such as it is, is spending my entire time as an elementary kid as the subject of being picked on (including being thrown in a dumpster). Then spending the entirety of junior high making sure no one picked on my autistic sister, ditto through high school. Throw one Nightmare of a relationship, and family troubles into that mix, and then post high school... well ya'll know some of my jobs one of which was doing customer service in an auto parts store. Though that one did more to -help- me than hurt me I think. |
| #37jetshieldOct 13, 2011 20:39:41 | I don't have an excuse. People make excuses for doing/thinking/feeling things they know/believe are wrong. I just hate people, and the more I get to know them (humans in general), the more I believe the world would be a better place if humans became extinct. Humans are violent, selfish, destructive, vindictive, uncaring monsters. It's time they made way for a more advanced life form. Like amoebas. |
| #38zombie_babiesOct 14, 2011 8:21:51 | Meh. If you met me and we have common interests, you'll find I am a friendly guy who likes to joke and might say all sort of "inappropriate" stuff because I think you also can handle the stuff. I'm pretty much the same. Though I also have great potential to be a terrible person. I usually keep it reigned in now that I'm older but every now and again something slips. It's difficult for me to care and I've kinda put off dealing with a lot of emotional stuff for a long time. But yeah, overall I'm easyish to get along with. And I say a lot of inappropriate stuff - typically for my own amusement. That's really what seems to be paramount to me: my own amusement. But I can do nice things, too. Whatever. I'm what you call an average human being, IMO. It's just that I may be more honest about it than most. |
| #39CCSOct 16, 2011 1:14:24 | [60 question quiz (61 if you count the male/female question)] Hmm, upper end of average. Wich is higher than I expected given that I can be a real ass.... |
| #40ADHadhOct 17, 2011 14:34:02 | Scored 36. I'm a socially awkward recluse with very low self-esteem (and self-respect), I didn't need a test to tell me that. But the weird thing is, I pick up emotions rather well I think. I have a bunch of female friends that like talking to me and I seem to have a knack for cheering them up when they're feeling down; they see me as a good friend, but sadly none of them seems to want me as more than that ![]() And I'm really bad at broadening my social circle or when there is someone I don't know that shares a friend with me present; I tend to retreat then. |
| #41toastedamphibianOct 19, 2011 4:39:27 | It's as if the tavern is full of people with Aspergers. I gots a 20. |
| #42toastedamphibianOct 19, 2011 4:44:48 | wait so Naga, apparently HS, grehn and I are the most sociable? I spent alot of time alone as a child, and as a teenager, and now as an adult. People tell me I am mean beacuse I answer questions truthfully instead of lieing while seeming to think nothing of harming me for their own personal goals, and expect me to harm myself for their benifit. Suspicious, agressive stance is best starting point. Edit: Basically I would say the diffrence between me and your average person is this: I behave selfishly, admit to behaving selfishly, and expect others to behave selfishly. Average people behave selfishly, claim to behave generouslly, and expect others to behave altruistically. Bunch of lunatics. |
