Well, those aren't haiku and "rouge" is a type of cosmetic.

Actually, Commissar, those are a series of haiku in the "5-7-5" format of syllables, except for the second-to-last one. The comment on rouge is correct, and it is the second-most misspelled word on these forums, just behind "definitely" and just ahead of "tiefling."

My point is that simply counting syllables doesn't make a haiku. A haiku is a specific literary form and those don't match the structure and subject matter. For example, all haiku reference (directly or indirectly) a season.

Haiku aren't the end-all, be-all of poetic literature (I actually prefer Heian period poetry myself), but it's sad to see such an august literary form reduced to a mere counting of syllables. "5-7-5" might be a poem, but in and of itself it does not constitute a haiku. There's way more to it than that.

...I know there's far more to haiku than that. It's usually an expression of the beauty of nature or other ideas. However, I also have appreciation for humor and the use of art in expressing it, or using an art form to make a point. Besides after reading a haiku by Jared Hindman, I find that I enjoy haiku humor:

A killer snowman
Why did I rent this movie?
Someone stab my head

You come off as a really austere poster, Commissar, but did you really have to come in and tell us that it's not haiku because it's not in the classical art form? There's so many better things that you could be doing with your time, man...

New stuff they pander to us
Nerfs all of the rest
make it seem better than best

Bowing to yesteryears grogs
they imbalance it
splinter and break the games cogs

Unceremoniously
Sweet Class equity
tossed into times wailing winds

Wizards bow before their sins
leave Warlords behind
to rip a hole in my mind.

They revived sacred cattle
just recently dead.
some should be shot in the head.

Melee trained but very weak
Avengers we need
to attack with greater speed.

I find hit it with my sword
leaves many quite bored
underwhelmed by the classes

There are answers we all seek
 in thread after thread
while expressing deepest dread
