| #1badger.jackJan 16, 2011 14:40:31 | Have been getting back into photoshop recently, thundering along working stuff out for myself, but ive hit a bit of a snag. I have a coat of arms for a character and want it to appear to be etched into his leather coat. Any tips on how to create this effect? Im using CS5 at the moment, and I can pick things up easily enough. Any sort of help would be appreciated ![]() Cookies and gratitude to any helpers |

Have you tried the [Community Art Forum]? It doesn't tend to have a very active community (no new posts in about two months, truth be told) but someone there might have a better idea. |

Was just kinda hoping there would be some easy 'press this to do what you want' button (tell you what, when i discovered context-aware deletion i thought i had found the ultimate tool ever) You may have a cookie anyway for being kind enough to drop by |

Placed a very small drop shadow in and then lowered the layer opacity until it didnt look like it was pasted in. |
