| #1gnomemasterJul 29, 2008 0:26:00 | I'm thinking of running a game about a world devoid of goodness. An evil Overdeity named Bhalla decided to take the most evil aspects of the world and create a plane of nothing but. What do you think it should have in it? |
| #2pigknightJul 29, 2008 0:39:05 | Bhalla sounds WAY to much like Allah. Change the name before you do ANYTHING. Evil hamsters, evil cabbage, evil air, the works. |
| #3great_cthuhlozJul 29, 2008 2:03:31 | if you have a copy of GURPS fantasy, check out what it says about Maltheism (ie, evil pantheons) |
| #4gnomemasterJul 29, 2008 11:01:58 | Hey, thank you for the comments. I guess I didn't think about that, Bhalla was a name we borrowed from a list of Dead Forgotten Realms gods. I guess I will scrounge through the Dead Greyhawk Gods. One thing we were kind of thinking about, is a Mirror Universe. Probably exactly, or very similiar to Forgotten Realms but where the good elements (Elves, Gnomes, Halflings, Dwarves, etc.) are evil, and the evil elements (Orcs, Yuanti, chromatic dragons, etc.) are good. I personally thought this was too trite, what do you think? |

| #7stealthmarmotAug 13, 2008 12:40:03 | Do they have goatees? Yes. They do. Everything. The rocks, the trees, the lettuce, the dogs, all have beards. Seriously. Ever seen a pea with a beard? It's friggin mindblowing. |

An evil Overdeity named Bhalla decided to take the most evil aspects of the world and create a plane of nothing but. Not a very escapist world, is it? ;) Um, I'd go for repressive sovietness. |
| #10the_shamanAug 14, 2008 2:21:19 | On one end, yes. On the other, have the evil anarchic society with gangs, chaos, mayhem and the like. Put someone in who fills the NE niche - evil corporations work well for this role, and as the 20th century shows they don't mind working with oppressive governments - and the picture can be more or less set. Have the 3 be at odds with each other - more covert between the government and the businesses, overt with the gangs - and you may be more or less set. |
| #11newbunkleAug 22, 2008 12:36:33 | Use an evil government that controls everything - for example it controls the food supply and deliberately starves its opponents. Make sure there is no freedom of speech, and there are people everywhere who'll report you to the local official. The players won't know who to trust! |
| #12knights_discipleAug 22, 2008 12:59:10 | Do they have goatees? I resent the implication that goatees mark one as the "evil twin". ;) ;) :P |
| #13stealthmarmotAug 22, 2008 13:02:44 | I resent the implication that goatees mark one as the "evil twin". You misspelled "resemble". |
| #14knights_discipleAug 22, 2008 13:06:37 | You misspelled "resemble". ![]() |
| #15stealthmarmotAug 22, 2008 13:38:16 | EVIL EYE!! Somehow I predicted that exact phrase. |
