I don't care about a DLC, I just want an update that fixes the ten thousand game-killing glitches in it. I mean, on my main character, I have to literally save every 5 mins to make sure I don't lose anything to the game freezing up. Once I got ED-E as a companion it only got worse.... Also, make it so a level 1 character doesn't run into Cazadores or SuperMute Masters or DEATHCLAWS for Atom's sake!

I'll agree with the first part (the glitches are getting on my nerves - I've never had my 360 freeze, until this game), but the bolded part is part of the game experience of Fallout, IMO. I remember fondly back on my computer with Fallout, running randomly into things that waaaaaaaaaay outclassed me (Deathclaws at pretty much any level, Brotherhood of Steel guys, etc) and having to reload. It's the wasteland way, baby. ;)
I do think the DT/Armor thing is kind of dumb. I prefered the previous game for that.
As for the DLC, I'm trying to get all the ACH for the original game first before downloading anything more - I have so little time to play it, it'll probably be on sale by the time I get around to buying it, so go me!
But I take it you've played the DLC, Jesse.Two.Coins? Is it enjoyable? Does it add any significant playtime? What about any awesome unique items, like the power armor from the Anchorage DLC for Fallout 3?
Either way, I'm on my second pass in the game1. Maybe when I finish that I'll try Dead Money.

Mostly 'cause I was fine working for Mr. House right up till he wanted me to kill the Brotherhood. I had just gotten Veronica so I decided to kill Mr. House instead.
Don't you have to beat the game four times or so before you can get all the achievements? Not even counting that for all the different "dealt way too much damage a specific way" achievement you're practically required to do a half dozen play-throughs anyway...
Either way, I'm on my second pass in the game1. Maybe when I finish that I'll try Dead Money.

Veronica is my favorite of the companions- she's like Moira Brown with a freight train of a right cross.
That said, I'm with WolfLordBran on this one- some of the game mechanics/design changes they made between FO3 and F:NV have made it such that I just can't enjoy it. Stealth is busted worthless, loot is feeble, there are way too many trivial map markers cluttering your compass radar, and opponents you previously faced one or two at a time now come in packs of four to six.

As it happened, I just happened to save it right before the critical moment where you agree to do stuff for Mr House and shut out your other options (save "Wild Card"), and played it different ways to see how it ended up, and get the ACH so I could not worry so much about the factions.
One thing that really disappointed me, however, was that the designers included the major flaw of Fallout 3 - the fact that the game ends when you complete the main storyline. I was really disappointed. It would have been genius to see your effects on the world in real-time.
Do you have the Broken Steel DLC for F:3 KGM? Doing that lets you continue on after Project Purity when the BoS drag you out of there. It adds a metric crapton of awesomeness in for you and they're doing the same w/ F:NV. It's hinted at that the final DLC will be "The Divide" where you finally fight Ulysses in the Grand Canyon.
Yeah, I played the Broken Steel DLC, and it was cool (all the DLC for Fallout 3 was really cool, my personal favorite was the Anchorage one because of the awesome powered armor ...), but I was still really disappointed in the actual ending of Fallout 3, and of New Vegas. In my memory, Fallout was a much more open- or even non-ended kind of game - you finish the "main quest" really early on, and then just pretty much did what you wanted to do. The newer Fallout games have been too linear, I guess, for my tastes. But they have been extremely enjoyable, pretty much my favorite games for the 360 - I just wish you could play beyond the main quest in the actual game, not in DLC.
