So going with that... I think Lion King maybe? I haven't really watched any of their animated films in forever, so I'm not too sure, but Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella just have themes that grate on my nerves, Pocohantas aggravates me for the gross historical inaccuracies (and kids are more likely to confuse fact with fiction, especially when the fiction has moving pictures), and Alladin... I just didn't like the sound of his voice. Hunchback of Notre Dame had some great songs (God Bless the Outcasts might be my favorite Disney song) but the story didn't really charm me, and while Ursulla is hands-down the best Disney villain, Ariel just annoyed me too much to like the Little Mermaid very much. Haven't seen the Princess and the Frog or Tangled, so no judgement on those. Hercules wasn't bad, and I'm more willing to forgive mangling mythology then history, but it wasn't very memorable either, y'know (though I won't say (I'm in love) is a great song)?
So... yeah, I'm going with Lion King.

The hero doesn't end the cauldron's threat, the sidekick character sacrifices himself to do so. And when the young hero is offered a reward, instead of choosing power, he asks for his friend back.

That one looks interesting. I have definitely heard of it, but I honestly can't remember if I have seen it. I like that the original book and film adaptation were influenced by Welsh mythology.
The Little Mermaid is also on my list, mostly for the soundtrack. Ursula was such a good villain!
Aladin is awesome too ... back then, Disney knew how to make villains!
Wall-E is definitely my favorite out of the Disney/Pixar movies - I cried so hard when EVA was trying to get Wall-E to remember her! My son also really liked Wall-E.
I also really liked Ponyo. It's actually one of the two movies that my son (3 1/2 years old) will sit down and watch for a good chunk of time. Cars is the other one, but I'm not as big a fan of that one - but he loves cars, so it's a natural fit for him. I was very surprised by Ponyo being such a hit with him, but for some reason he loves it. He even points out the goldfish when we go to the store, and calls them "Ponyo fish" or "Ponyo's sisters" (they're all little goldfish).
But, I was a kid once. ;)

-Robin Hood (even though they make it kid-friendly - in the BBC series, Robin and Marian **spoiler**)
-Mulan (even though it's been ages, I still remember the little dragon)
-The Hunchback of Notre Dame (the man who sings for Frollo sang for Ursula - no joke)
...as well as multiple others that I do not care to name at this time. Like The Rescuers. Hehe.
And some that I did but had no idea were made by Disney (like the Rescuers)
I guess there's a lot of movies left to obtain...

Spirited Away, Princess Monomoke, and the like aren't really Disney. They're stuff that they licensed the distribution rights for, that's it.
Hell, the only reason why I include Pixar stuff is because when Disney bought Pixar it was Pixar owners who ended up taking control of Disney.
