Florida's sickening double standards

A 5th grade boy tackled, stripped naked, and humilated by three 8th grade girls and nothing is being done about it. The mother isn't pressing charges (because she's apparently nuts) and the most that the girls would get is misdemeanor battery charges. However, if this were three 8th grade boys doing this to a 5th grade girl, the boys would be charged with a felony sexual assault.

The school isn't reprimanding these students either. Many schools in many states list in their student handbooks and code of ethics that students represent the school at all times so they can be punished for what happens outside the school, but apparently not in Fort Meyers, Florida.

You even hear the girl filming the whole thing laugh just before the reporter starts talking and say "you're, like, raping him."

It is times such as this that really call attention to the lack of an insane snarl smiley on these forums.

"OMG, Three older girls are taking my clothes off, boy am I gonna have a story to tell my friends"

"I'm so attractive that they can't keep their hands off of me."

Really, I mean it is a double standard, but in most cases guys are held up to a 'be tough' standard while girls are held to a different 'be supportive' standard...

And that somehow makes it alright? WTF is wrong with you? The amount of idiocy in that single post excedes all the idiocy in all your conspiracy crap combined. Do the world a favor and just light yourself on fire you ****.

I disagree. That would be a waste of perfectly good fire.

I can't really think of a better way (that's reasonably possible) to rid the world of such worthlessness that wouldn't leave a big pile to continue it's contamination.

I didn't mean it like that. You misunderstood. My post was pure sarcasm. I was explaining WHY it is a double standard...

Of course nothing is being done about it.
There is no Masculinist victims group organized by the **** to rabble rouse and be an advocate.
Everybody knows men are evil and wrong!!!... just go hang out in Astrids if you need confirmation...

The **** would simply claim that it is "social justice" ... or perhaps "sexual justice".
Therefore, it is ok.

Oh STFU.  Screw you.  It's exactly the double standard that encourages this kind of brushing off - it hurts everyone.

That video is disgusting, and you'd be damn sure I'd be first in line to prosecute those bully girls.

I'm tired of you ****ing bashing Astrid's everywhere you possibly can draw some kind of stupid parallel.  I'm not going to keep quiet about it anymore.  The way you bash on the forum, it makes you sound like you have an irrational, unintelligent grudge - like, you just want to bash it for no other reason than to bash it, much like you claim people hate men "over there".  Seriously.  You're no better than the people you despise.  And yes, I know by typing this I'm no better than you, but I don't give a **** right now.  Screw it.

And yeah, because no one is advocating for this kid, it gets brushed off/not taken seriously - just like when there were no advocates for violence against women.  I'm all for advocating for the victim!

That boy's mother should be ashamed of herself by not standing up to this.  She should persue the legal channels to get this girls punished as they should be.

The video made my stomach turn.  I don't know how the mom can be so nonchalant about it.  I would be livid.

Then report such behavior if and when you see it. If it is against the CoC then a ban will occur.
Nice rant though... it amused me.

Sorry, Killer, but...

Every time I've poked into Astrid's I've seen a place that at best is asking for a flame war, and at its worst makes Mos Eisley look wholesome. I thought Astrid's was a bad idea from the get go. And I've never seen anything to change my mind. I mean, if people who like hanging out in Astrid's want to, hey, more power to them. But did it occur to you that the reason why these things get said is because there is a kernel of truth there?

That's still no excuse to drag it in here...  I mean, if you're going to put a big fat worm on a hook, chances are you are going to get a bite.  It doesn't make Killer right, but her being wrong doesn't make RH right for asking for it.
