Yes, but the NCC-1701 has an obvious critical weakness that can easily be exploited by tractor riding space farmers which will cause the NCC-1701 to explode and end te movie, so... kind of better if you really think about it.

Shields that are completely useless against weapons that are as destructive as a SDs, ZB.

Also it has 0 armor on the hull. You're also forgeting the SD also has shields, and they don't just switch off anytime the ship gets shot.

Nor does it's inertial dampeners get knocked out in the first few seconds either which means in a -real- universe one opening salvo from the SD while the 1701 is moving at full impulse speed is enough to paste the crew inside the ship.

SD's take hits from photon torpedoes all the time and walk away unscathed, infact it often takes fusilades, hitting the exact same spot just to break the hull open in one section of an SD, upwards of 30 impacts.

One shot from a turbo laser is enough to level a city block. (Laser by the way isn't what a SD is firing. It's firing a particle weapon)

The 1701s on the other hand, it's lucky if it can level a building in one shot.

This is also not counting the fact that the SD also has a full suite of Electronic warfare, Ion Cannons which completely destroy electronics once they hit hull. And we know just how overload prone those ST ship console stations are.

The 1701 is also massively under gunned in terms of sheer armament size. The Scimitar is the closest thing ST can compare to an SD with. And the Scimitar took on how many warbirds and the 1701 E?  Now you have to up that again, because the SD actually has a damage resistant hull.

Star Trash will get curb stomped like a Diaz Brother against GSP from Star Bores.

If you want something that would be a ''decent'' fight,  you want to pitch an SD against an Escort Class Imperium Ship from warhammer 40k.   The thing is though, an SD doesn't have a prayer against anything larger in the Imperiums arsenal, and Imperium ships get bigger. Way way bigger, and are far more heavily armed.

Gurl, you cray-cray.  The SD's weapons can't penetrate the shields for one simple reason: they weren't designed with shielded vessels in mind.  A photon torpedo can blow up all sorts of stuff on the ground, too.  Thing is, when it hits shields it won't penetrate.  So it doesn't matter how awesome at taking on unshielded targets the SD is cuz, simply, we're not talking about it taking on an unshielded target.

Actually ZB they are designed with shield piercing in mind.

All Capital ships, Frigates, and hell even most mid grade and up star fighters have shields in SW. Infact the shields are so effective, it's the whole reason the Ion weapons were invented in the first place.

It's also worth noting that ST shields tend to not stand up very well against Kinetic impacts (and an SD has plenty of Kinetic weapons in it's disposal as well via, Torpedoes and Missiles.

The 1701 could fire until it's phaser banks overloaded,  and it wouldn't even begin to damage an SD.

We're also talking about a massive size difference in the ships as well. The 1701 is only about a kilometer long where as an SD is a 4km long ship. The Scimitar was a guppy.

Energy generation is also massively different. A ST ship takes 70 years apparently to cross the galaxy. A SW ship even a small ship can do it in a week or so. The sheer power generation capability of a Star Bores ship alone puts it in a weight class far beyond anything an ST ship can handle. They Could Brute Force the shields down incredibly quickly and after that it'd only take a handfull of shots to completely destroy a Star Trash Ship.

There's nothing ST can do to trump a Star Bores ship, and both suck the CoC compared to a warhammer 40k Imperium ship.

No, you seem to not understand. In Star Bores, every empire ship has a critical weakness: The tractor riding space farmer. It doesn't matter what ship it is. Farmer will blow it up because the empire is dumb and had its ships designed by idiots. I mean seriously, just look at the walkers. They were gigantic walking metal bases of destruction... that had extremely limitted mobility, barely any visibility, and guns that were so badly place they couldn't hit a mountain from 3 feet away. And how was one of the walkers taken dowm? Tractor riding space farmer, that's how.

No matter how much you want to bash Star Bores, Star Trash is still worse. They're even dumber in that universe than the people that get conned by the Nigerian Prince game.

At the end of the day, even if the Pakled are the result of luke and leia, that means the Star Trash Crew lost to even dumber people than Luke and Leia are.

Except the Enterprise wasn't blown up by a single tractor riding incestuous space farmer. Like seriously, one guy took out the death star. One guy. With all the weapons and defensive fighters the death star had, not a single one of them could hit him. Not one. Hell, that just goes to show that they haven't even developed targetting systems in the Star Bores uinverse. The enterprise could let its shields down and not even worry about getting hit.

And Star Bores has all sorts of droids... protocol droids , astromechs, medical droids, etc.

But they can't make a droid what flies a fighter?
Like, they are very advanced technically, but they can't make drones?

The droid starfighter is, and it has a walking mode.  There are also drone fighters that show up with the Planet Devastators and on the Droids cartoon show.

Frankly, though, I feel that accelerating technology hinders the stories of Star Wars.  To me, it's strictly fantasy in a futuristic setting, like The Barsoom Series or Flash Gordon (the admitted inspirations).

Whoa, sorry.  I geeked out too much, there.

If you're going to pick something to beat a SD, at least pick something that can actualy do the job.

What happened to not defending Star Bores? As for the weapons in Star Bores, the only ones that do anything are the light sabers. The guns suffer from the same lack of aiming ability that every other firearm in Star Bores suffers. You know what's the one thing you'll never hear in Star Bores? Oh, puh-leaze. The Imperium would be crushed in any war it got into with the Federation. First of all, the Enterprise, by itself, is capable of wiping out all life on a planet. No need for pansy Exterminatus crap. Second of all, logistics. The Warp is inefficient and dangerous. The Federation could just dance around the Imperium, until the Sisko walks up to the Golden Throne and pimp-slaps the Astronomicon out of existence.

Also? Chainsword fails to a basic phaser. Federation infantry would dominate the IG manz and the Spess Mur-HEENs alike via instant disintegration.

So, basically, the Federation owns infantry, runabouts would own the air, and while individually, the Federation would be at a massive disadvantage ship to ship, they could pick and choose their fights, and commit only to battles with beyond overwhelming advantage. Also, they don't have a way to combat the Picard maneuver beyond blind firing. The Imperium wouldn't stand a chance.

And, of course, a Daedalus-class Tau'ri ship could destroy a battle-barge easily, no question.

For one, the feddie bears couldn't even pierce the void shields of an Imperial Titan with a Sovereign, let alone a starships.

Second, it would take the feddies decades to traverse the Imperium, where as the Imperium can zip across it's berth in half that time or less.

Third, Do you even watch star trash? Do you know how many times people get shot by phasers, even allegedly Normal people and not even feel it?  Even a las gun is 10 times as lethal as a phaser. A las gun is > a Tommy Gun. and all that's needed to /faceroll a borg is to drop the panty waist phasers and use a tommy gun. Even a Frenchman can defeat the borg.

Fourth, The feds don't even wear body armor. Their weapons suck, their military training consists of getting their ass kicked and surrendering like the french.

Fifth, the Picard maneuver isn't all it's cracked up to be. Eldar Holo Fields are far far more effective and the Imperium has no trouble dealing with them either.

Sixth, The Feds would never be at a significant advantage. Imperial planetary defenses alone are far above and beyond anything the feddies could try to counter.

Seventh there are more Imperium ships in one Segmentum than there are in the entirety of Starfleet, The RSE, and the KDF combined.

Eighth. All they have to do is teleport a squad of Terminators onto the bridge of the 1701 or any ST ship right THROUGH THE SHIELDS, and /faceroll everything inside. For that matter they could even do the job with Kaskrin. While the feddy bears couldn't do the same. Not that they'd win if they could anyway.

Also, A daedalus, couldn't even break the shields of a Battlebarge. Let alone a Real Mans ship a Grand Cruiser or larger.

Bull. No. Just, no.
Second, it would take the feddies decades to traverse the Imperium, where as the Imperium can zip across it's berth in half that time or less.

First off, again, bull. The Imperium is massive. Second, the warp is dangerous and inconsistent. The Federations warp travel is smooth and predictable.

Do you? That doesn't happen. It's much, much more common for people to simply disappear. Much more effective than flashlights.
Fourth, The feds don't even wear body armor. Their weapons suck, their military training consists of getting their ass kicked and surrendering like the french.

Because body armor won't work against phasers, because of magic disintegration.
Fifth, the Picard maneuver isn't all it's cracked up to be. Eldar Holo Fields are far far more effective and the Imperium has no trouble dealing with them either.

Translation: "I don't understand basic physics."

That's not what the Picard maneuver really is. But, that's also not the point. The Imperium couldn't hit a single ship in a fleet of federation ships.
Sixth, The Feds would never be at a significant advantage. Imperial planetary defenses alone are far above and beyond anything the feddies could try to counter.

Yes, they would. The Imperium couldn't hit anything. I mean, they lack any kind of computers whatsoever. They would be pecked to death.

Plus, do I need to get into the wonders of Breen energy dampeners or Thalaron radiation instakilling?
Seventh there are more Imperium ships in one Segmentum than there are in the entirety of Starfleet, The RSE, and the KDF combined.

And the federation wouldn't lose ships. And it's not like they can even move, anyways. The Warp sucks.

Plus, I'm pretty sure you're wrong on that count.

Nope. Shields block teleports. Or, if you're going to claim they're different, the Federation just ports a Quantum inside the bridge and engine room of the Imperium ship.
Also, A daedalus, couldn't even break the shields of a Battlebarge. Let alone a Real Mans ship a Grand Cruiser or larger.

Bull. Plasma beam. You have no shields. Also? Shields don't stop Asgard beams. Have fun with a nice gigaton nuke as a parting gift. And it's a Battle Barge that couldn't scratch a Daedalus's shields. Their shields are comparable to Ancient shields, and they laugh at stars and tell them to get off their lawn.

You keep on forgetting that, while the Imperium ships are big and crap, all their technology is twenty thousand years old. Also, any innovation is heresy. The Federation would kick ass.

Translation : I'm not familiar at all with the Imperium  or 40k's space warfare so I'll just suck the rodennberry.

Yeah. You don't watch Trek. I suggest you rewatch the dominion war. Phasers are hardly an effective weapon.

Put it this way, 20,000 years old is still well over 18,000 years beyond the Feddies. There's this little thing called The Wall. Which is the point where science just can't advance beyond that point. 40k hit The Wall long ago. Which is the whole reason why they use Warp tech.

I suggest you start reading Rogue Trader, and Dark heresy. The Imperium are hardly the tech chumps you think they are chimp boy. They have targeting systems abound, (what do you think the Eldar fields are countering) and massive amounts of fire power. Just the Macro batteries alone would be enough to put an ST ship down.  And we saw just how ''amazing'' the French Manuever was in Nemesis didn't we.

Also void shields ARE different. They are a field made up from The Warp in addition to standard energy shields.  For that matter, Telporting in 40k is also travel through the warp.

ST? Don't even have gellar fields. So they couldn't stop a 40k port. For that matter, ST couldn't beam through the shields either of a 40k ship precisely because a 40k ship has the void shields, in addition to the same shields ST uses.

By the way the Imperium considers nukes a joke weapon.    Nova Cannon Oh and Vortex Torpedoes.

Oh, by the way, it doesn't matter. A gigaton of explosives going off inside the ship will kill the ship. The end. The Tau'ri can do that. I'd call a trade of a couple Kasrkins or Terminators for a nuke a pretty one-sided trade.

I suggest you rewatch the SGA episode "The Last Man." Hit and run will work. Also, Tau'ri ships are so, so, so much faster than the Imperium it's almost not funny. Almost.

And, on a side note, Naqahda-enhanced nukes can't be considered nukes anymore. More than one Gatebuster could, quite reasonably, destroy a planet. That's Exterminatus stuff.

Funny for a supposedly 100 percent lethal weapon there's an awful lot of wounded at the battle of AR.  Let alone all those other times we see wounded by Kill Shots and not Dead targets on screen in the shows.

And yet Tau ships get their **** Handed to them in a straight up fight against an Imperial Cruiser. And they have something well beyond Star Trailer Trash. Railguns.

You obviously aren't familiar with macro batteries. I'm not talking about the micro batteries (which would still be enough to maim a Trailer Trash ship) That's also not counting, Lances, Vortex weapons, Nova Cannons, Melta weapons, Plasma and the full gamut of armament you'll find on an Imperium ship.

The fact that they do infact have standard energy fields protecting the ships. Void shields and Warp tech are also very very different animals. A 40k ship has those 2 layers of protection, in addition to actually armoring their ships. And designing their ships in a sensible manner so that the most critical areas of the ship aren't exposed almost directly to space like the Bridge, or the most important part of an ST ship that's easy to hit a Nacelle.

You mean those sensors that go out when the ship even gets grazed?
Or how about those Sensors that have repeatedly demonstrated complete failure to detect dominion ships until they were right ontop of the Defiant?
Or how about those super safe fail proof inertial dampeners. ST ships don't do the French Maneuver for a reason. Because the second they get shot they lose their IDs, which means the moment you travel at anything over Mach 5, the crew will get Pasted.

You're assuming the star gate ships can teleport ordnance inside of a 40k ship. 40k Teleports are on Ascended level of teleportation, not Ancient.  They'd try the teleport, and blammo it'd hit the void shields, maybe make the Imperial commander's tea rattle abit, and then they'd return the favor with a shot from a Nova Cannon and vape the SG1 ship, along with any pesky moons that happened to be in the vicinity, and cracked open any near by planets.

Yeah.. those warriors that can be killed by Bullets of all things.. yeah not intimidated.

Only in your dreams. 40k would kick the SG1 universe over so hard that the Imperium side would just point and laugh going "lol rper". You're also assuming that a SG1s shields will hold against even passing scrutiny from a Nova Cannon. (there's a reason they got that name by the way) Let alone Dark Age weapons, shields, and armoring that Terras ships have, which by the way are even more insane. If you think Naqueda nukes are impressive you haven't seen the results of a Dark Age Nova Cannon, loaded with Vortex Rounds.

The only reason they even beat the light weight Auroi is because their villains were too stupid to just simply attack the only threat in the galaxy en mass at once and GG Earth.

Let's face it, the BBEG of Robotech is defeated by.......love energy.

Seriously, a hippy commune would /faceroll it.

It's plot is completely retarded.

Robotech has become an obscure reference. Mechwarrior on the other hand? Is getting 2 AAA games coming out soon. One of which I'm in the beta for, and the other I'm thinking about trying in the near future.

The only cool robot robotech has, is the hybrid mode between the F14 and Robot mode.

Lulz. You weren't reading my post.
You obviously aren't familiar with macro batteries. I'm not talking about the micro batteries (which would still be enough to maim a Trailer Trash ship) That's also not counting, Lances, Vortex weapons, Nova Cannons, Melta weapons, Plasma and the full gamut of armament you'll find on an Imperium ship.

...And, Vortex weapons are the only thing really threatening.

By thr way, plasma weapons don't work in space. Perfect gas and all. But, beside that, okay, then whatever that idiotic Federatiton secret police are called pull out a subspace weapon. Bang, instakill gun, and you still cannot hit a federation ship.

And they still cannot overcome the simple advantage of the Frenchy Maneuver.
You mean those sensors that go out when the ship even gets grazed?

Yep.
Or how about those Sensors that have repeatedly demonstrated complete failure to detect dominion ships until they were right ontop of the Defiant?

...Yeah, no. The Defiant wouldn't be fighting in any Negative Space Wedgies, which are the constant in all the scenarios with crappy sensors.
Or how about those super safe fail proof inertial dampeners. ST ships don't do the French Maneuver for a reason. Because the second they get shot they lose their IDs, which means the moment you travel at anything over Mach 5, the crew will get Pasted.

Funny, it seemed to work for the Stargazer just fine.
You're assuming the star gate ships can teleport ordnance inside of a 40k ship. 40k Teleports are on Ascended level of teleportation, not Ancient.  They'd try the teleport, and blammo it'd hit the void shields, maybe make the Imperial commander's tea rattle abit, and then they'd return the favor with a shot from a Nova Cannon and vape the SG1 ship, along with any pesky moons that happened to be in the vicinity, and cracked open any near by planets.

...Nope. Ancient shields didn't block porting, either. They had a jamming system from being allies of the Asgard for thousands of years. So, you're making stuff up.

So, nope. No blocking 'ports for you. Much like SG hyperdrives, the advantage given by this is basically insurmountable. Find a Imperium ship, pop it, fly off. Elapsed time out of hyperspace: one second. Casualties? All enemy.
Yeah.. those warriors that can be killed by Bullets of all things.. yeah not intimidated.

Bullets kill things pretty well. A lot better than the crappy flashlights and flak jackets? The IG technology was outdated in the seventies, bro.
Only in your dreams. 40k would kick the SG1 universe over so hard that the Imperium side would just point and laugh going "lol rper". You're also assuming that a SG1s shields will hold against even passing scrutiny from a Nova Cannon. (there's a reason they got that name by the way)

Bro? SG ships fly through stars on a regular basis. A damaged HA'TAK survived one. I'm not impressed.
Let alone Dark Age weapons, shields, and armoring that Terras ships have, which by the way are even more insane. If you think Naqueda nukes are impressive you haven't seen the results of a Dark Age Nova Cannon, loaded with Vortex Rounds.

And, if you really want to go down this route, I'll see your DA Nova Cannons and raise you a drone chair. Oh, and a ZPM-enabled Daedalus, which lulz at basically everything.

But, this is missing a more important point: The Tau'ri won't get hit. They have a FTL insta-kil. They can get in, kill the enemy, and get out before the sensors can even detect them.
The only reason they even beat the light weight Auroi is because their villains were too stupid to just simply attack the only threat in the galaxy en mass at once and GG Earth.

And because the Asgard hadn't given the Tau'ri a weapon which lulz at shields.

Actually my good ape, plasma would work in space, as the sun is made up of plasma and that is what 40k plasma weapons shoot: miniaturized suns. It's just a rather angry and small sun hurtling towards you at an alarming speed.

Actually, my good canine, it doesn't work like that. The sun is held together by its immense mass. Gravity and all. A plasma weapon just wouldn't work.

Sure it would.
Contained within a magnetic field.
Which is invisible and targeted at the enemy ship.
The plasma just rides the beam on home.

Battle of AR-whatever is season 7. It doesn't exist.

Lulz. You weren't reading my post.

...And, Vortex weapons are the only thing really threatening.

By thr way, plasma weapons don't work in space. Perfect gas and all. But, beside that, okay, then whatever that idiotic Federatiton secret police are called pull out a subspace weapon. Bang, instakill gun, and you still cannot hit a federation ship.

Okay how about every shot placed in DS9 Ever. Plenty of Wounded and not Deads. Unless now you want to say the only even vageuly militaristic and competent Trailer Trash Show, never existed now you really got nothing.

You really really don't know much about 40k and it shows. So painfully. It's almost as laughable as watching you rant about gun control.

Actually 40k plasma weapons DO work in space. Shows what you know champ.

Actually they can. Tell me chump why didn't they just French Move the Borg, The Scimitar, Jem Hadar ships, Rommies, Cardies, and KDF? Ohhhh right. Because it's not a full viable tactic or strategy.

Because it doesn't work all the time and can be countered. Not only that, Imp ships can mini warp jump too. And are much faster than you think they are at combat speed. Not only that the sheer amount of armament on a 40k ship means even after the jump, there is no ''being in the blindspot of the enemy'' doing a french move, would just result in them being up against fresh void shields, and fresh weaponry each of which is more than massive enough to knock out a Trailer Trash ships shields in one go.

Yes those sensors that are also defeated by gravity wells, nebulas, minor celestial bodies, asteroid fields... yeah. Still going to put my money on the 40k ships detection prowess.

You're like the azn anime fan boy that thinks a samurai would have a prayer against a full plate wearing knight in combat ''because he's faster!''.  Yeah speed is such an amazing factor in combat that no one ever saw the use of armor, and durability, ever. It's not like heavily armed and armored ships trounce lighter weight ones or anything

And yes they can chump. Warp jump. Right behind them. Blammo. Or, they open up first, knock out the pathetic inertial dampeners and proceed to **** the now immobile ship. Oh and unlike the French Maneuver, it's not utterly dependent on inertial dampeners that go out when someone even looks at them funny in order to function.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but a bullet is at best the equal of a las gun. And that's a 7.62. Not the **** 9mm and 5.56 SG1 uses. A las gun would rip any of SG1s enemies to pieces, to say nothing of hell guns, hot shots, bolters, auto cannons, heavy flamers, melta weapons or plasma guns. And flak armor? It's actually beyond what we have now, it's not a Flak Jacket. It's Ceramic plates, meshed with high temp plastics, and kevlar. Carapace is Ceramite (which is a Carbon and Ceramic mixture), titanium, and kevlar.   Power armor, is that but even thicker, stronger, and a basic muscle boosting exo skeleton.

And the void shield would still stop a port cold. Because you're having to completely penetrate the folds of another universe entirely one that takes the laws of physics and bends them over regularly. Anything you'd try to energy teleport through a Void shield would have much the same effect as sending anything through The Warp without a gellar field. If you're lucky Slaanesh might see the naqueda nuke and decide it'd make a fun suppository for itself.  For that matter, good luck even getting a port lock on a ship that has void shields in the first place without any kind of psychic attunement.

The Tauri couldn't damage a 40k ship. The 40k ship on the other hand, just has to open once and the Tauri is done.

Oh and that hit and run tactic? Yeah that's going to work real well when you have to defend a planet. And again the 40k ship can do the same and better.

Oh please the ZPM is a joke weapon. As is the Chair that aides it. It's not a super duper shield. One opening up from the macro and micro batteries and the ZPM drone screen is done for.  followed up by a lance strike straight down into the chair's site and it's done for. Or, they'll just fire the nova cannon out from say Jupiter and vape most of the inner solar system.

THere's one thing you're also forgetting Sir Chimp. If the Imperial ship were somehow crippled by the Federation/Empire/What-Have-You, the Imperials would simply detonate their Warp drives and suck everything in the surrounding area into the Immaterium, where, assuming the other ships survived the negative space wedgy that follows, the non Gellar-Field shielded ships would instantly be overrun by Daemons or Warp Beasties and their crews slaughtered. Remember, the Imperium is 100% spite fueled.

Yes. This. An almost word for word description of how 40k plasma weapon works.

...No. Just, no. I think I can hear the wails of pain from MIT, and I'm on the West coast.
Okay how about every shot placed in DS9 Ever. Plenty of Wounded and not Deads. Unless now you want to say the only even vageuly militaristic and competent Trailer Trash Show, never existed now you really got nothing.

I'd like some citations, here.
You really really don't know much about 40k and it shows. So painfully. It's almost as laughable as watching you rant about gun control.

Uh, no. Care to try again?
Actually 40k plasma weapons DO work in space. Shows what you know champ.

No, they don't. Do you know why? Plasma is a perfect gas. It simply cannot work in space.

But, even if we accept the failed physics there for a second, so? Plasma really shouldn't do anything against Federation shields, given how you're claiming they work. It'd just fizzle off them.
Actually they can. Tell me chump why didn't they just French Move the Borg, The Scimitar, Jem Hadar ships, Rommies, Cardies, and KDF? Ohhhh right. Because it's not a full viable tactic or strategy.

Meaning, you haven't paid attention to Star Trek sensors. The subspace mumbo-jumbo detectors are FTL. The Imperium doesn't have them. Therefore, the Imperium cannot react fast enough.

Meaning, you weren't paying attention to what I was saying. The federation could incrediby easily  peck them to death. Or, of course, just remote control a shuttle near the big ships o' doom and trigger a breach. Dead ship.
Yes those sensors that are also defeated by gravity wells, nebulas, minor celestial bodies, asteroid fields... yeah. Still going to put my money on the 40k ships detection prowess.

Sorry, buddy. It's not the quality that matters, here. It's the speed.
You're like the azn anime fan boy that thinks a samurai would have a prayer against a full plate wearing knight in combat ''because he's faster!''.  Yeah speed is such an amazing factor in combat that no one ever saw the use of armor, and durability, ever. It's not like heavily armed and armored ships trounce lighter weight ones or anything

...No. It's like a ninja versus a knight. Yeah, the ninja would get trashed, but it's a good thing he won't fight like a knight would.

Meaning, you weren't paying attention. Again. Okay.
Carapace is Ceramite (which is a Carbon and Ceramic mixture), titanium, and kevlar.   Power armor, is that but even thicker, stronger, and a basic muscle boosting exo skeleton.

...Nope. Especially not with the Jaffa-killers. Plus, of course, a zat laughs at your armor and kills your pansy smurfs through it.

Nope. Not at all. You are, once again, making crap up. There is no evidence at all that a void shield would stop a teleport. Furthermore, Plasma beams don't care.
The Tauri couldn't damage a 40k ship. The 40k ship on the other hand, just has to open once and the Tauri is done.

Yes, they could. They could instakill them with a single teleport, and that's ignoring the fact that naqadah-nukes make 40k missiles look like firecrackers. And the fact that Plasma beams and drones both laugh at your shields.
Oh and that hit and run tactic? Yeah that's going to work real well when you have to defend a planet. And again the 40k ship can do the same and better.

I suggest you watch the season 3, IIRC episode "Absolute Power." Now add plasma beams and a drone chair. Or, in other words, lulz.
Oh please the ZPM is a joke weapon.

Meaning you really never paid attention to the feats a ZPM-enable Daedalus is capable of. Or saw Enemy at the Gate.
As is the Chair that aides it. It's not a super duper shield. One opening up from the macro and micro batteries and the ZPM drone screen is done for.  followed up by a lance strike straight down into the chair's site and it's done for. Or, they'll just fire the nova cannon out from say Jupiter and vape most of the inner solar system.

...No, because the drones aren't going to be used as a shield. They will fly up, run through your shields, and wipe out your fleet. Because that's what drones do. 'Cuz, yanno, most installments that had a chair also had a shield.

And, really, planet-killing can be done just as well by the Tau'ri. They have the advantage of Asgard beams, plasma beams, and speed, and that's all they need.

Really, needing the Warp is why the Imperium can't even beat the Federation. The Tau'ri could kick all their ****. And, of course, Gurren Lagann is unbeatable. And I still haven't had the opening for a good Uchuu Senkan Yamato joke.
