| #61EscherEnigmaFeb 25, 2011 13:30:38 | On that note, isn't the anti-christ supposed to be loved and adored by everyone one, thus giving great cover to their evil deeds? |

I would challenge anyone to find anything I've said about Bush that is worse than "he is the antichrist". I think Bush was a pretty thick good ol' boy who was in way over his head - a puppet used by Chenney, Rove and his ilk - and will stand as one of the worst presidents in US history, but that doesn't mean I resort of absurd hyperbole like "he is the antichrist". |

| #85pigknightFeb 26, 2011 0:32:56 | Antichrist is a title opposing Christ. Christ is the greek translation of Messiah. A Messiah is a savior, there can be multiple Messiahs, but Yeshua is THE Messiah to some. So multiple Antichrists are possible, Revelation just has THE Antichrist. |

| #132boraxeMar 03, 2011 11:31:17 | What sort of apocalypse is supposed to happen in 2012 anyway? It really depends which particular moron you ask, each one has a different answer. The most popular scenarios seem to be: massive solar flares; a 180º polar shift; and being hit by an rogue planet. |
| #133SomeoneMar 03, 2011 11:49:51 | The only problem with the whole magnetic polarity reversal thing is that while it undergoes the flip, the earth will effectively have no magnetic field. Well, that or four poles: North, South, kinda north, the south that isn't very south, etc.. Navigation is all GPS nowadays, so just get some strong sunscreen for the days and enjoy the auroras at night. |
| #134homicidal_squirrelMar 03, 2011 12:10:39 | I wasn't asking you specifically. It was a question to the community. My ancestors are Euro-D-Bags actually. Spanish and Italian with a mix of other Euro-trash mixed in. I had the missfortune of being born in Colombia. |
| #135jetshieldMar 03, 2011 12:11:09 | The only problem with the whole magnetic polarity reversal thing is that while it undergoes the flip, the earth will effectively have no magnetic field. Well, that or four poles: North, South, kinda north, the south that isn't very south, etc.. Nasa has this to say about it. Sometimes the field completely flips. The north and the south poles swap places. Such reversals, recorded in the magnetism of ancient rocks, are unpredictable. They come at irregular intervals averaging about 300,000 years; the last one was 780,000 years ago. snip Reversals take a few thousand years to complete, and during that time--contrary to popular belief--the magnetic field does not vanish. "It just gets more complicated," says Glatzmaier. Magnetic lines of force near Earth's surface become twisted and tangled, and magnetic poles pop up in unaccustomed places. A south magnetic pole might emerge over Africa, for instance, or a north pole over Tahiti. Weird. But it's still a planetary magnetic field, and it still protects us from space radiation and solar storms. And they give this image of what the poles may look like during a shift ![]() |
| #136homicidal_squirrelMar 03, 2011 12:17:32 | I wasn't asking you specifically. It was a question to the community. Yeah my parents from Spain and Italy. I... not so much. As for the Socialistic tendencies... it could be because of my Euro-ancestry... or it could be that I'm not a complete dick. |
| #137boraxeMar 03, 2011 12:59:13 | Hmmm, are you saying you need to be a dick to be a conservative? No, but it certainly appears to be a desirable asset. |
| #138ADHadhMar 03, 2011 15:26:38 | You could also be a dick without being a conservative. You can achieve that by insulting other people as if they weren't there. I wouldn't be surprised if the Mayan calendar ended in 2012 simply because of a mathematical error. After all we need to add a day every four years for our system to work – not particularly mathematically perfect IMO. |
| #139pigknightMar 03, 2011 19:27:16 | You could also be a dick without being a conservative. You can achieve that by insulting other people as if they weren't there. It ended in 2012 because they ran out of room. They can only cram so much room on it. Considering they were a good 1,000 years ahead of schedule they might've though someone else could write another once 2012 drew near. |
| #140boraxeMar 04, 2011 9:45:46 | More importantly, since when does anyone give a damn what the Mayans have to say about anything? When they're planning a space shuttle launch or military exercise does someone say "hold up, guys, let's see what the Mayans have to say"? Hell no. And really, if the Mayans could actually see the future you think maybe they just might've done something to avoid being wiped out by the Spanish? It's just a calendar, people, stop making a big god damned deal out of it. I mean for sake, my calendar ends on December 31 of this year but you don't see people panicking about that. |

Plus, lets assume, for the sake of argument that "the Mayans were right" (Not that they actually predicted this blah blah blah but we've already thrown logic and reason out the window at this point anyway). What the **** are we gonna do about it? Hide in a bomb shelter? Because they can totally predict the apocalypse several thousand years in advance, but they couldn't predict bomb shelters? So yeah, I'm having an apocalypse party. Get to laugh at all the silly people spazzing out, and on the 0% chance that the scientists do usher in armageddon that night, we go out partying. |

| #172boraxeMar 03, 2011 11:31:17 | What sort of apocalypse is supposed to happen in 2012 anyway? It really depends which particular moron you ask, each one has a different answer. The most popular scenarios seem to be: massive solar flares; a 180º polar shift; and being hit by an rogue planet. |
| #173SomeoneMar 03, 2011 11:49:51 | The only problem with the whole magnetic polarity reversal thing is that while it undergoes the flip, the earth will effectively have no magnetic field. Well, that or four poles: North, South, kinda north, the south that isn't very south, etc.. Navigation is all GPS nowadays, so just get some strong sunscreen for the days and enjoy the auroras at night. |
| #174homicidal_squirrelMar 03, 2011 12:10:39 | I wasn't asking you specifically. It was a question to the community. My ancestors are Euro-D-Bags actually. Spanish and Italian with a mix of other Euro-trash mixed in. I had the missfortune of being born in Colombia. |
| #175jetshieldMar 03, 2011 12:11:09 | The only problem with the whole magnetic polarity reversal thing is that while it undergoes the flip, the earth will effectively have no magnetic field.
| #176homicidal_squirrelMar 03, 2011 12:17:32 | I wasn't asking you specifically. It was a question to the community. Yeah my parents from Spain and Italy. I... not so much. As for the Socialistic tendencies... it could be because of my Euro-ancestry... or it could be that I'm not a complete dick. |
| #177boraxeMar 03, 2011 12:59:13 | Hmmm, are you saying you need to be a dick to be a conservative? No, but it certainly appears to be a desirable asset. |
| #178ADHadhMar 03, 2011 15:26:38 | You could also be a dick without being a conservative. You can achieve that by insulting other people as if they weren't there. I wouldn't be surprised if the Mayan calendar ended in 2012 simply because of a mathematical error. After all we need to add a day every four years for our system to work – not particularly mathematically perfect IMO. |
| #179pigknightMar 03, 2011 19:27:16 | You could also be a dick without being a conservative. You can achieve that by insulting other people as if they weren't there. It ended in 2012 because they ran out of room. They can only cram so much room on it. Considering they were a good 1,000 years ahead of schedule they might've though someone else could write another once 2012 drew near. |
| #180boraxeMar 04, 2011 9:45:46 | More importantly, since when does anyone give a damn what the Mayans have to say about anything? When they're planning a space shuttle launch or military exercise does someone say "hold up, guys, let's see what the Mayans have to say"? Hell no. And really, if the Mayans could actually see the future you think maybe they just might've done something to avoid being wiped out by the Spanish? It's just a calendar, people, stop making a big god damned deal out of it. I mean for sake, my calendar ends on December 31 of this year but you don't see people panicking about that. |
| #181KlirshonMar 04, 2011 9:54:16 | Its almost as if humanity is looking forward to its doomsday (whenever that may be).![]() |
