Ok, he's probably not a furry and he's being asked to resign for various reasons including pill poppin'.  But this does beg the question: are furries fit to legislate?

I assure you that there are legislators, right now, who are furries.  I've no clue who they actually are, but it seems very very unlikely that there aren't.

And like most "secrets", it's a catch-22.  You're screwed if you keep secrets, screwed if you reveal 'em.

But that doesn't answer my silly question!

Better a furry than an otherkin.

Serious response is serious:

I don't see how being a furry should interfere with a Congressman's duty.  His private life is his own, and should remain as such, so long as he's not breaking any laws.  Same as anybody.

Silly response is silly:

Sure! They're GRRRRRRRRRREAT!

Getting dressed up in a tiger costume in your own home?  Hmmmmmm...me and the wife....Heeeeeere kitty-kitty-kitty-kitty!

Taking pics and sending them to your staff members?  Very questionable judgment.

Taking a couple of "pain killers" given to you by an "unnamed campaign donor"?  Ass-hat stupid.

That doesn't look very furry to me... that's just a guy in a carneval suit.

This is a furry:

"He has a really important job, and the citizens of Oregon and the citizens of the congressional district deserve to have a congressman who's completely focused on serving them and being a great congressman,"

So, congressmen aren't supposed to have any fun or have a sense of humor? They're not alowed to have lives or thoughts outside the needs of the people they represent? I knew there was a reason I never wanted to be a congressman.

There should be a Furry (political) Party. Vote Furry for president!

Never.  Get enough furries in Congress and the whole damn thing would just be a gigantic **** chamber.  Then again, it would likely encourage bipartisan participation so maybe there is an upside.

Yes.  They are fit to legislate.  I think that furries are no more mentally unstable than christians (or jews or muslims or hindus or anyone else of any faith), and if they are fit to legislate then so, too, are furries.

Being a furry isn't a faith, it's just a past-time. Like internet-trolling. A chance to be anonymous and have some fun doing things you wouldn't do if you weren't being anonymous.

You're wrong, being a Furry is Serious Business. And they're so persecuted! No one understands!

In which animal do you like to dress up?

I think you meant "AS which animal"...

"In which animal" implies that you're wearing the actual whole animal as your costume. Which, I suppose, you might be if you were dressing as a cow, bear or other large animal, but not particularly likely otherwise...

Rawr.

But really I only dress up like celts and pirates, I don't have a furry suit. They're a bit too expensive and hot for my tastes.

Who in their right mind would want to bear a moniker as some type of animal? Disgraceful.

Dragonette is an interesting band.  My fiancee is a fan and I like some of their stuff.  And ... uhh ... that's it, I guess.
