Ok I'm familiar with the word twink, twinker, twinking and all the like, but recently I was playing a cleric / Radiant servant of Pelor and it was said my character is cheese. It was then said the CoDzilla in general is cheese. Now I know what CoDzilla but what is cheese? I am in the dark here.

Quick answer:

"Cheese" is the term for a character or build that takes advantage of loopholes or vague spots in the rules to gain power, as opposed to gaining power the way the system intended.

"Cheese" is not, as far as I've seen, a term widely used in computer games, like "twinking" is.

"Cheese" is a term used against others by those who don't understand the finer details of a tabletop game. *snort*

cheese is a delicious substance when used on mexican and italian food so that they have more yummy fat in them. It is disastrous when used on chinese food or desserts, because they get their nummy calories from things that taste awful when combined with cheese.

"Cheese" is a great tasting food item that comes in many forms.

Has anybody ever had cheese 'n' rice?

Heh. Someone is a foodie.

Anyway, cheese is a somewhat condescending term people use when there is something about a system, a specific aspect such as one move or combination or attribute they think ruins the game because everyone uses it, or otherwise ruins a fair fight.

As an example, If you were playing Street Fighter and some guy kept using Guile's Sonic Boom over and over and could beat anyone using that very simple maneuver, no matter the other guys skill, that would be considered cheese. Because the person is winning not based on skill, or strategy, or even luck, but on a broken game mechanic.

Just because someone calls it cheese doesn't mean it is cheese though.

CoDzilla is a common target of the cheese name, but in reality, most every primary caster is easy to unbalance without much trouble, as long as you have a DM who is unwilling or unable to stop obvious breakage.

I wouldn't worry about it, people complaining about system breakage usually are talking about "In theory", and the problems aren't happening in game at least not yet. Also, the simple truth is whats powerful in one DM's game is not very powerful in another. One DM might have dozens of riddles that are solved by decipher script checks, whereas another might never use that skill ever.

By the way, the Radiant servant of Pelor, not cheese. All it gets is some extra healing abilities, and a little better turning ability, which doesn't matter because turn undead is pretty worthless after zombies and skeletons and maybe ghouls. It also pays for it by having a lower hit die. Considering what a cleric can do without any prestige class, that class doesnt add anything amazing it didn't already have, except for more healing. And if your allies are upset about how well you heal them, offer to stop doing so. They will die first.

I wish. I blame E-Talk, TMZ, Hooters, all those other lousy places that cater to the stereotypical, hyped-up, pathetic male fantasy that slim with a huge chest and rear is somehow "sexier" then women who are not disgustingly thin little toerag anorexics. If yer born that way, well there ain't much you can do about is, so I understand. Me though? I prefer ah natural all the way. I don't even like women who wear a lot of make-up, I prefer the natural beauty meself.

#24

dirtyfrank

Jun 03, 2009 20:40:49
Well I wouldn't be able to determine if that number be reasonably accurate unless I had a picture and your weight. But really, attractiveness doesn't so much come from how you look (though it can help) but rather from the confidence that one shows. You beating yourself up because of how your body looks doesn't show confidence. Stop bashing you body and you'll start to appear more confident and soon more people will start to see you as attractive even if you still have your curves.

Dood! I am, like, totally old! For, like, my generation yo!? Aw, man! What a cheesedown... *sniff*

On a more serious note, good to hear yer gettin' the confidence going mate. And, I don't think I've ever had any family out in the US for anything more then a visit, might have some relatives up that way, maybe, not sure. 'Course, from where I am, that would be quite a walk/swim to see the US... :P
