OK, here are the rules:

Answer the "Would you rather ..." question in the post before you, then post your own.

Would you rather age only from the neck up, or age only from the neck down?
#2

Reg06

May 16, 2009 16:57:27
Starting when? If it were to start now, from the neck up, easy. If it were to start when I was young, neck down I suppose (though I'd be pretty screwed either way).

Would you rather eat a pound of pasta, or a pound of ice cream?
#3

KillerGM

May 16, 2009 17:00:19
A pound of ice cream.

Would you rather be mechanically induced to scream at the top of your lungs for an hour, or have your eyes glued shut for a day?

Eyes glued shut for a day, in a hearbeat.

#5

KillerGM

May 16, 2009 17:06:15

But I'd pick mine; at least one of me would be having fun. ;)

Eyes that always smile.

After you die, would you prefer to be hatefully remembered or forgotten forever?
#7

Reg06

May 16, 2009 17:11:01
Depends on the situation. If I'm hatefully remembered by the family of my enemies (who I crushed, and drove before me), that'd be dandy. But I've gotten past to point where I believe any press is good press, and I can live with dying alone and being forgotten.

Would you rather wrestle a kobold, or a goblin?
#8

KillerGM

May 16, 2009 17:14:32

I'm sorry, Owls, it's a "Would you rather" game, not just name two things to chose from.

EDIT: Swallowed. No teeth.

Would you rather own a cat or own a dog?
#15

Reg06

May 16, 2009 17:32:41

#58

cherubaddon

May 17, 2009 16:49:03
Sacrifice myself (the opposite would be depressing me for the rest of my life). So ironically, that is the egotistical choice. Unless the someone I was to sacrifice myself for was so important to me that I wouldn't want her to live with this knowledge - but I don't think there's anyone like that (yet?).

#89

KillerGM

May 17, 2009 22:28:27
False dilemma. If there "really is" no other option, then I'm doing it wrong. Of course, I may not know what that other option is, but if they come up with one, I feel no need to prevent them from doing it.

#122

zombie_babies

WYR play as only one race the rest of your life, or only one class?
#131

EscherEnigma

May 18, 2009 10:34:17
If it's a mouser, cat. Otherwise, dog. (I hate friggin' mice... the traps worked for about a week, but now the ones that are left are all avoiding the traps like ... well, like the plague.)

Edit: One race, class reflects personality a lot more then race.

Would you rather suffer listening to opinions you don't like so that you can hear interesting ones that interest you, or only hear the same thing all the time?

Would you rather own a ship or a plane?
#133

EscherEnigma

May 18, 2009 11:34:31
Ship, or more specifically, a house boat. After all, when was the last time you heard about a "house plane"? (in other news, you can get your boat out on the water and just idle luxuriously there all day, but when planes try to idle luxuriously they tend to fall.)

Would you rather die with your boats on, or off?

Would you rather have a single super-power or a single random power every time you wake up.
#141

Would you rather be a rock star or movie star?

If you don't like either of the opotion presented dont post, or pick the lesser of two evils and explain why you choose it over the others. Way to make things unfun.

$100 dollars now. Putting that 100 dollars towards paying off a credit card would save me about $150 dollars in intrest at 30% APR over 5 years putting the total monetary benifit over a 5 year duration at 250 dollars with the added benifit of me not having to worry about forgetting about it before it becomes avaliable.

If you where going to get hit in the ass, would you rather be hit in the ass with a baseball bat or a crowbar?

Grr. Umm, Batman since we have to choose. Batman is less lame than Spiderman.

WYR be able to act or write? Assume for either "be able to" means be able to well enough to achieve fame and fortune.
#189

EscherEnigma

May 19, 2009 9:37:46
Batman, he's leaps and bounds ahead of that wussy Spiderman.

Stunt actor, actually. I still get to go to all the fun and interesting locations, but I also get to do all the fun things they don't let the pretty faces do, and I don't need to get cosmetic surgery first.

But if I can't be specific... writer.

Would you rather be vague or unspecific?
#190

zombie_babies

May 19, 2009 9:41:20
Vague. It gives me an air of mystery. :P

WYR try somehing new that you may or may not like or do something you're certain you'll enjoy greatly even though you've done it many times?
#191

EscherEnigma

May 19, 2009 9:44:55
If I've recently done the thing I know I'll enjoy greatly, then the new thing, as variety is the spice of life. If it's been a while, then the old thing, because good things are good to come back to.

Please note that I'm assuming this is referring to activities that do not involve adultry, as the answer to that should be obvious.

Would you rather explain or detain?
#192

zombie_babies

May 19, 2009 10:00:36
Explain. I tend to ramble on while explaining things that interest me. I know I'm rambling, but I just don't care.

WYR lean on someone or have someone lean on you? (yay work muzak :P)
#193

EscherEnigma

May 19, 2009 10:04:43
... On one hand, I'd rather not be the one asking for support, as that means I wasn't self-sufficient, and self-suffiency is something I like. However, if it's one or the other, I suppose I'd have to go with 'lean on someone' because I'd rather have myself be in dire straits then my friends in dire straits.

Would you rather be needy or needed?
#194

zombie_babies

May 19, 2009 10:08:37
I hate both, but I hate being needy more. I choose to be needed. It sucks, too, but maybe I could help that person enough that they'd no longer need me.

WYR live in a city or a more rural setting?
#195

EscherEnigma

May 19, 2009 10:11:12
City, it's easier to get lose in a crowd.

I'd rather be the one in power. It's something I know I'd be awesome at.

WYR be in school or at work?
#197

EscherEnigma

May 19, 2009 10:17:44
Honestly? I'd prefer if I was a full-time student again like I was a few years ago. I enjoyed life more, and actually thought I was going to graduate sometime soon and move on to things I wanted to do. Now, working, I'm just slogging through, trying to stay focused on the finish line that seems too far away.

Would you rather take an all-right job now, or go back to school so you can get into a career you want in a few years?
#198

zombie_babies

May 19, 2009 10:19:44

WYR explore the cosmos or the depths of the oceans?

Depths of the ocean, it'd actually live long enough to get there given there was the equipment to make it safe.

Would you rather have safety or freedom?
#204

zombie_babies

May 19, 2009 11:51:44
Freedom. You'd be surprised what kind of safety freedom can buy.

WYR be pleasantly surprised or pleasantly unsurprised?
#205

EscherEnigma

May 19, 2009 11:54:42
Pleasently unsurprised. I seldom find surprises pleasent.

(I'm running out of ideas...)
#206

zombie_babies

May 19, 2009 11:59:07

Fly on the wall.

Would you rather have your love be unrequited, or to never have loved at all?
#210

WYR play a sport or watch a sport?

EscherEnigma

May 19, 2009 12:23:46
Ug, you give such bad choices. Hrm... play a sport, I suppose. At least them I'm doing something.

Would you rather walk a mile in someone else's platform boots, or stiletto heels?
#212

Platform boots. I don't think I could pull off heels.

WYR write or direct?
#213

EscherEnigma

May 19, 2009 12:30:03
Direct. A good director can make even a crappy script into an entertaining production, but no amount of good writing can balance out a crappy director.

Would you rather name your fabulous new product after a famous empire that fell, or after an unknown one that lasted?
#214

zombie_babies

May 19, 2009 12:32:28
One that fell. Not totally sure why.

WYR find $100 million or earn $100 million?
#215

EscherEnigma

May 19, 2009 12:34:05
Earn. If you get it without working for it you'll probably blow it, but if you earned it, then you've already shown that you know how money works and it'll keep working. Alternate explanation: Earn. If you earned it, then there's good chances it's sustainable and you'll get more, but if you find it, then that's it.

Would you rather post something that you believe but you know will get censored by the mods when they get around to it or post nothing at all?
#216

zombie_babies

May 19, 2009 12:37:33
I'd rather post what I believed. The mods can't do anything to me, so why not be heard even if just for a few moments?

WYR do what's needed or do what's right?
#217

EscherEnigma

May 19, 2009 12:40:48
... ok, I need to think about this one.

Doing what is needed to be done is often the right thing to do. In fact, I'm having a hard time thinking of a case where it would be needed to do something where it wasn't also the right thing to do. There might be times where it was unpleasent, but right is not necessarily nice.

On the flip side, doing what is right is not always what is needed... something could be the right thing to do because it will improve something, but it isn't actually necessary.

So I guess I'll go with "doing what's right".

Would you rather punt someone that deserves it, or find a way to get them to punt themselves?
#218

zombie_babies

May 19, 2009 12:44:49
Depends on my mood, I think. Forced to choose, I pick getting them to punt themselves. It gives ya that satisfying feeling of control. ;)

WYR work for revolution or some minor modifications to the status quo?
#219

EscherEnigma

I currently work towards minor modifications to the status quo because I feel we're better off that way. But it is not impossible for me to change my mind, were things dire enough. Heck, the founding fathers even put that into the Constitution and Declaration of Independence.

Would you rather beat someone down with their own morality or beat them down with your own?
#220

zombie_babies

May 19, 2009 12:49:17
I'd rather beat them with theirs. If I used mine, I'd be doin' somethin' I don't much agree with.

WYR come up with a question for this thread or the silly question one?
#221

EscherEnigma

May 19, 2009 12:52:21
Silly one, it's easier 'cause I don't have to present two options in a specifc format.

Would you rather format something in a way such that it is eaiser for others to understand, or format something in a way such that it is easier for you to understand?
#222

Reg06

May 19, 2009 12:54:56
Easier for others to understand, typically. I can figure it out later.

Would you rather answer this question or make up a non-answer?
#223

zombie_babies

May 19, 2009 12:55:46
For others. I can understand most of what I'm trying to get across. Others don't always follow my sometimes convoluted presentation so I'd rather focus on getting that part down.

I'd rather answer it. See? Wasn't that easier than makin' up some non-answer BS?

WYR find a new personality quirk in yourself or your SO?
#224

Reg06

May 19, 2009 12:57:57
Myself is the only applicable answer.

Would you rather find out you are a robot, or a clone?
#225

zombie_babies

May 19, 2009 12:59:28
Clone.

WYR cheat and win or do less than you're able and lose?
#226

Cpt_Micha

May 19, 2009 13:02:51
It depends. If my life is on the line. I'll probably cheat.

Would you rather, score with Lara Croft or Tifa?
#227

Reg06

May 19, 2009 13:09:00
Uh, Lara Croft I suppose. She's got some class, but isn't much better.

Would you rather be unable to develop any sort of real connection with another human being, or only be able to be intimate with people who are abusive, untrustworthy, or otherwise terrible to be in a relationship with?
#228

Cpt_Micha

May 19, 2009 13:18:10
I'd rather be unable to connect with another human being.

Would you rather, have Barbecue Spare Ribs for Lunch, or Smoked Chicken BBQ?
#229

Reg06

May 19, 2009 13:22:25
Chicken. Ribs are pretty messy.

Would you rather be unable to taste food, or always be parched?
#230

EscherEnigma

May 19, 2009 14:56:45
unable to taste food, I suppose.

Would you rather cook for your SO or have your SO cook for you?
#231

Panartias

Swallowed. No teeth.

...KGM?!

Must... ...resist... ...inapropriate joke...

Edit: Cook for my SO.

Would you rather eat a tablespoon full of salt or chilly-powder?
#232

zombie_babies

May 19, 2009 15:08:37
Chilly powder. Never seen the stuff but I imagine it's refreshingly cool.

WYR people make jokes out of your word misuse/mispellings or that they point them out and correct them?
#233

EscherEnigma

May 19, 2009 15:12:30
Make jokes out of them, it's more amusing.

Would you rather eat a tablespoon of salt or a tablespoon of chili powder?
#234

Chili powdah. Moar flavah!

WYR eat or sleep?

Sleep.

WYR kill me quickly, or slowly?
#236

Panartias

May 19, 2009 15:23:01
OK - got it!

Chili.

Edit: quickly!

Wyr swallow a living spider or a tablespoon of petroleum?
#237

zombie_babies

May 19, 2009 15:24:24
*sigh*

Quickly. You're too much of a waste of time as-is. Why waste more?

Spider. Allegedly we swallow some bug (or arachnid) during sleep fairly frequently. I can't imagine it being all that unpleasant during an awakened state.

WYR travel time as a ghost - able to witness but not change - or like dood from Quantum Leap - stuck traveling time and forced into another person in order to use your abilities to correct some problem they have?
#238

EscherEnigma

May 19, 2009 15:30:04
Ghost, that way I don't have to deal with questions of morality or ethics, as I'm incapable of altering things even if I wanted to.

Would you rather, given a situation in which you wanted to change something but shouldn't, be incapable or making the change or capable of making the change?
#239

dirtyfrank

May 19, 2009 16:02:34
Capable. Having capability means I have freedom of choice and having the feeling of wanting to change something does not mean that I will change it.

Would you rather prefer me making up some witty WYP statement or just sort of leave things hanging in a boring and unappealing way?
#240

Ragnar_Lodbrok

May 19, 2009 16:11:17
Witty please.

WYR be in a medieval castle or a modern high rise for a zombie apocalypse? In either situation, assume other people with you, weapons, a water source, and enough canned food to support the group for up to three years.
#241

May 19, 2009 16:16:53
medieval castle.

Would you rather give me a hug, a kiss, or an Awesomely Cool High Five?

Would you rather open the box of Rox, or the box of Mudd?
#243

Reg06

I'll take a shot in the dark, and say box of Mudd.

Would you rather be infected with lycanthropy, or mummyitis?
#244

toastedamphibian

May 19, 2009 19:00:22
Lycanthropy is made of win.

Would you rather be a Troll-WereGiant-Crocodile, or a Fire Giant
(Rox and Mudd are the names of my ferrets.)
#245

spellwyrm

May 19, 2009 19:18:21
I'd rather be a Fire Giant. At least then I have an intelligence score higher then seven.

Leeches.

WYR live in Mountains or fields?

Mountains.

WYR use a sword or a spear?

A spear.

Would you rather use a hockey stick, or a baseball bat?
#249

Reg06

May 19, 2009 21:01:48
Hmmm... I'd channel my inner Casey Jones with a hockey stick. Casey Jones. What a BAMF.

Would you rather play soccer or rugby?
#250

EscherEnigma

May 19, 2009 21:04:46
Rugby. If I'm going to break my leg playing a silly sport, there may as well be a good chance of seeing a lot of hot jocks run across the field naked afterwards.

Would you rather go to a nudist beach and see a fair slice of humanity (that is, everyone of all shapes and sizes are represented) or go to a clothed beach in which only the average was present?
#251

Reg06

May 19, 2009 21:08:32
Clothed beach. Being nude is too much like being open, and swim trunks are at least a step up. Not that you'd ever catch me at the sort of beach where you'd be in shorts- no, I want rocks, and grey skies, and choppy seas, I want me some North West beaches.

Would you rather be know many people, but be famous for being unliked, or be a hermit without any human contact?
#252

spellwyrm

May 19, 2009 21:10:13
A hermit. Contacting "people" online doesn't count towards "human contact".

Would you rather drink your own urinal fluids to save yourself from thirst, or die a slow, prolonged death of dehydration?
#253

Reg06

May 19, 2009 21:12:52
I'd drink my fresh urine. That stuff is safe, for a time. Plus, I can eat anything.

Would you rather eat the best taco in the world from a dirty, dingy, rusted, slimy truck knowing there would be a risk for salmonella/e. coli/tape worms, or eat safe, terrible, and sanitized fast food?
#254

spellwyrm

May 19, 2009 21:14:49
I'll take the fast food, at least I know the fat will kill me eventually.

Would you rather be stuck in an elevator with George Bush Senior, or George Bush Jr?
#255

Reg06

May 19, 2009 21:18:18
I don't really care (or hate either of them). But I think Jr. would be less likely to be able to trick me into doing anything wrong.

Would you rather live isolated and ignorant, but perfectly happy, or know everything, and be emotionally destroyed by the knowledge?

Would you rather have a ring of silver or gold (assuming you aren't planning on hocking it)?

october_darkness

May 20, 2009 1:27:29
I was waiting for someone to catch on. Jeeze, you all are so slow.

I've been drinking, so yeah.

I'd rather have a ring of silver.

WYR drink Tecate or Modelo?
#263

Reg06

May 20, 2009 7:24:09
Ugh. I'd rather balance out my ring of silver with Tecate (which I then wash down with a real beer).

Would you rather fly, or teleport?
#264

spellwyrm

May 20, 2009 7:39:49
Teleportation, Star Trek style; fancy lights, funny music, epic entrances.

Would you rather be a red shirt and die horrifically for the sake of the plot, or a blue shirt and just stand around, not doing much?
#265

zombie_babies

May 20, 2009 8:15:44
Blue shirt. Keep them checks a' comin', please.

Master of the orchestra, I guess.

WYR suffer a crisis of conscience or a crisis of faith?
#268

I guess crisis of conscience since i dont have faith.

Would you rather live in peaceful bliss with no free will or suffer pain and torment but keep your mind intact.
#269

cherubaddon

May 20, 2009 9:33:21
The former, since you can never tell when you have free will and when you don't anyway.

Would you rather be eternally asleep or eternally awake?
#270

zombie_babies

May 20, 2009 10:08:57
Eternally asleep sounds easier, but pretty dull as well. I choose eternally awake even though I love sleep.

WYR I keep talkin' about Michael Vick in the WDYWtTA thread or move on to some other topic?
#271

EscherEnigma

May 20, 2009 10:16:18
Move onto something else, it doesn't seem like a terribly interesting topic.

Would you rather argue with payroll on why you don't need to lie on your time sheet about the hours y ou worked or aruge with your boss one why you should like on your time sheet about the hours you worked so you don't have to argue with payroll?
#272

zombie_babies

May 20, 2009 10:22:21
Ack. I choose payroll. I don't have to see them every day.

WYR trim hedges or fence in a garden? (I get to do both tonight after work!)
#273

EscherEnigma

May 20, 2009 10:24:44
Neither. What's the point of having a stay-at-home boyfriend if he won't put a fence around his own damn garden? ... Wait, wrong thread.

Uh...

Would you rather have a SO that does the necessary chores for their own hobbies, or one that makes pouty faces at you then makes you lemondade while you do the necessary chores for their hobby?
#274

zombie_babies

May 20, 2009 10:26:44
I'd rather my SO do the stuff. Luckily, she does.

WYR do housework or yardwork?
#275

EscherEnigma

May 20, 2009 10:29:26
Housework. It is my endeavor that my 'yard' will be a barren landscape of landscaping rocks with occasional planters maintained by my SO. He's the one that likes green growing things, after all. Were it up to me I'd do 'yardwork' with a flamethrower.

Would you rather write angsty poetry or paint angsty art?
#276

Would you rather be stuck doing the same valentines day 100 times in a row or the same Holloween 100 times in a row
#278

EscherEnigma

May 20, 2009 14:24:52
A holiday about sex in which if you have an SO (with whom you've moved to that stage of the relationship) you invariably end up hot and sweaty and horizontal before the night is over, or one in which you get bothered by loud annoying kids knocking on your door interupting your kinky costume play...

I'll go with Valentine's Day. You get dinner, sex, chocolate and snuggles (not necessarily in that order). Much better then yelling at kids to get off your lawn.

Would you rather be the bride or the bridesmaid?
#279

zombie_babies

May 20, 2009 14:31:15
Bridesmaid. Then I wouldn't have to marry a dood. I guess I may have to fool around with one or let 'him grope me drunkenly on the dance floor or somethin'. But I'll take that over a honeymoon any day of the week. :P

Would you rather lose your left or right testical?

WYR drown or be burnt to death?
#288

Would you rather play Shadowrun or RIFTS?
#289

Shadowrun. I once asked if i could make a vampiric half-ooze telekenetic cow to a player... and he said yes. True story, but i dont know if it is true...

Would you rather watch The old Adams Family tv show or the old Munsters tv show? (personally i think the munsters becuse i was introduced to them first)
#290

Munsters. They were funnier, and had better plots.

WYR listen to a violin set, or piano?
#291

That's a tough one... but I'd have to say Piano.

WYR be buried head deep in Lobsters, or be chased by an angry Bull?

May 21, 2009 1:53:30
Angry bull. If it's one of the bull chases like in Spain, I would have time to cover underneath one of the "safety zones".

WYR go sailing on a small boat, or flying in a small plane?
#293

#297

zombie_babies

May 21, 2009 8:51:47
The second one. Effectively, you get to live twice and it's ok to kill people during the second go-round. Well, it's at the very least expected of you. ;)

WYR be shredded by a pack of wild dogs or flayed alive by a deviant murderer? (EDIT: Deviant murderer, eh? Kind of redundant lookin' at it like that. Think deviant for a murderer, I guess. Stoopid lack of sleep.)

Would you rather have the ability to shapeshift or the ability to read minds

Shapeshift. That way I could turn into someone who can read minds.

Would you rather watch Monty Python or hear me rant about the virtues of 3.5?
#300

EscherEnigma

May 21, 2009 9:41:05
Hear you rant about the virtues of 3.5, that's more likely to strike my sense of humor then Monty Python (I find their lines to be amusing, but their delivery fails for me).

Would you rather listen to a song or sing along?
#301

zombie_babies

May 21, 2009 9:42:35
Listen. I can't sing. Oh, I also hate my voice. ;)

WYR pluck eyebrows or nose hair? (your own)
#302

EscherEnigma

May 21, 2009 9:47:53
Well, as I do pluck my eyebrows (otherwise I get a unibrow) but only trim my nose hairs (they get long and pointy and stick straight out for everyone to see) I guess I'll go with pluck my eyebrows.

Before I hear any jokes about that, I'd like to point out that I only pluck the ridge between them to remove the unibrow. As a man the rest can look all shaggy and masculine, but a unibrow is never attractive.

Do you know where, on a list of 'unattractive features' complied based off survey results, the unibrow lies?
#303

WYR give an erotic massage to Rosie O'Donnel or 1 shot to the face via M. Tyson?
#309

EscherEnigma

May 21, 2009 10:19:47
Erotic msassage to Rosie. She's a lesbian, and I'm gay, so it really wouldn't be that erotic.

Would you rather be him (that guy, right there) or her (that gal, right there)?
#310

zombie_babies

May 21, 2009 12:28:18
Since I'm currently the only "him" in visual range, I guess I have to say "her". Not that I'd rather be "her" than me, I just didn't think the guy could be me. Or I could be the guy. Or something.

WYR fend off a swarm of wasps or a murder of crows?
#311

Uh, crows. I can punt those things if they get close enough, but wasps can't be swatted easily.

Would you rather read 1984 or Grapes of Wrath?
#312

zombie_babies

May 21, 2009 12:35:45
Grapes of Wrath I think. I saw a play of part of it once. I was young at the time and it still moved me. Plus the author I'm currently reading paints a bleak picture himself. So it wouldn't screw with the flow.

WYR read A Clockwork Orange or Anna Karenina?
#313

EscherEnigma

May 21, 2009 12:38:35
Uh, Clockwork Orange, 'cause I've heard of it and I'm more leery of the evil I don't know then the evil I know.

Are you more leery of the evil you know or the evil you don't know?
#314

zombie_babies

May 21, 2009 12:42:00
I think the evil I know. I know of some damned evil stuff. Bad news, that. If I don't know about it, it can't really bother me until I do. Therefore any evil I do not know becomes known the moment I begin to fear it. Yes, that's not exactly the right way to look at that. Rather, not the only. I just don't care at this moment. Sleepy ...

WYR describe yourself to a friend or describe a friend to your mother?

Would you rather put an important revelation off till you're alone, or inconvenience everyone around you while you have an important revelation?
#316

zombie_babies

May 21, 2009 12:49:11

WYR discuss politics or religion?

Would you rather watch Kubrick or del Toro?
#318

May 21, 2009 12:53:35
Uh, I'll go with religion, but most talks about either end up mixed in with the other anyway.
Uh... I can't actually answer that question, as I have no clue what either is.

Would you rather be a super hero or super villain?
#319

cherubaddon

May 21, 2009 12:59:15
(Filmmakers; Kubrick made awesome things like Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket and Dr Strangelove, and del Toro made Hellboy, Pan's Labyrinth and the Orphanage).

Depends highly on the specifics, but if it's more cartoony, the villain, as he always gets the style points.

Would you rather see a movie or a play/opera?
#320

Movie; more media to contemplate, more engaging on more levels.
Plus, I don't need to slap on $500 of clothes to see a film, though I had a sweet in (g/f's aunt @ box office for Cincy symphony) which was a nice change of pace.

Would you rather be a colonist on the Moon or Mars?

I find it hard to imagine actually being able to be depressed, but in the interest of actually answering the question, I'd rather never reach perfection but work anyways.

Would you rather have a pegasus or a unicorn for a mount?
#395

EscherEnigma

May 26, 2009 15:13:33

Would you rather die in a mundane way or fantastic way?
#396

zombie_babies

May 26, 2009 15:27:34

WYR fight or flee?

#402

Reg06

May 26, 2009 18:21:42

Reg06

May 27, 2009 22:23:42
Tought choice. On the one hand, gorilla's aren't really packing, and on the other hand, it's Paris Hilto. But I'll chose the creature least likely to break me in half because I didn't want to do the freaky stuff.

Would you rather try blowfish at an unlicensed, but well known, sushi bar, or participate in the running of the bulls?

#416

EscherEnigma

May 28, 2009 12:39:23
Completely unable to lie. I do my best to not do so anyway, and being forced to would mean that I would get even better at obfuscating language.

Would you rather understand by not accept something, or accept but not understand something?
#417

WYR it be sunny or overcast?
#418

EscherEnigma

May 28, 2009 12:53:54
Overcast. I'm a dark, gloomy, and angsty soul, and it's so hard to be dark, gloomy, and angsty when the birds are singing, the sun is shining, and a deer is innocently walking up to you in a naive belief that it will be fed. It just ruins the whole mood, you know?

Would you rather be understood by not accepted, or be accepted but not understood?
#419

zombie_babies

May 28, 2009 13:01:03
Understood but not accepted. I'd rather be able to communicate than not - even if that means I'm not communicatin' stuff people would like to hear.

Would you rather sit warm and comfortable while blanketed in a charming and reassuring lie, or sit in the stark and uncertain uncomfortableness of knowing the truth?

I'll take the truth. To hell with happiness, it's a fleeting thing anyway. Nobody can guarantee themselves that they'll die happy.

Die satisfied, instead.

Turtle, probably. Trees (even sighted ones) have no mobility.

Would you rather have answered for you, in detail, with perfect accuracy, one single question ('is there a God', 'does intelligent life exist outside of Earth'... any question at all)... or would you rather be able to obscure the truth at will, gaining the ability to lie with supernatural persuasiveness?
#426

EscherEnigma

May 28, 2009 14:40:19
The ability to obscure the truth at will, because what's the fun if you know the answers? Of course, having an ability you'll never/seldom use isn't too useful either, but I suppose it's better then nothing.

Would you rather be an oracle, or consult an oracle?

White (healing) magic, though I am skeptical of the sorts of associations that would lead to all healing magic being 'white'.

Jedi, but only if it's Old Republic era. Back then it meant 'good aligned sword mage', but at some point they picked up all sorts of other trappings about allowed and disallowed behavior. Much more freedom in Old Republic era.

Would you rather play a star wars game set in Old Republic, Prequel, original Trilogy, or post Trilogy eras?

In the Star Wars universe I have to worry about moons that blow up planets. In the D&D universe I have to worry about chests, walls, floors, ceilings, cloaks, clothes, boulders, doorways, huts, and doors trying to eat me. But the Star Wars universe could probably get me chainsaw hands, so I'll go with that.

The bowl is big enough to that you could make a wedding cake in it. Assorted organs, fresh from the dead. And you get a fork for the tiger, but have to use your hands for the organs.

Fall onto a bunch of rose bushes. Sure, it'll hurt for a bit (as a side note, my mother used to keep rose bushes when I was a kid) but it doesn't have the masochistic feel of purposefully stepping onto nails.

Punch. Less chance of contracting a disease or something. A person who is going to respond with violence to a sudden punch is likly to respond with violence to a sudden kiss as well, so I fail to see how kissing would ever be prefeered unless you are an extreeme pascifist or something.

Probably the hobo. Beds in a homeless shelter, clean water, relative safety beat ramshackle huts, dysentary, and ethnic cleansing I would guess.

False dilemma. If you are completely incapable of expressing your intellect, then you can't be that smart of a duck, and thus you are a dumb duck.

I think what he's getting at is that the dumb ducks are too dumb to comprehend what the smart duck is trying to express, and while the smart duck is smart, it's not smart enough to put it in terms and in a way that the dumb ducks can understand.

The informal fallacy of false dilemma (also called false dichotomy, the either-or fallacy) involves a situation in which only two alternatives are considered, when in fact there are other options.Closely related are failing to consider a range of options and the tendency to think in extremes, called black-and-white thinking.

Vin Diesel. He seems like he'd be quieter, and less likely to get himself all over the place. And by that I mean, Samuel L. Jackson probably has some ego, and would act likely Samuel L. Jackson. Also, Vin Diesel has a better grasp on the system.

WYR watch horror or comedy?
#765

EscherEnigma

Aug 17, 2009 19:26:24
Yeah... even when I was a kid I never felt the need to prove myself to anyone. My mother has stories. The whole "kinda insecure" thing didn't set in for quite a few years, and that was about a whole different set of issues and never really manifested with me doing things I didn't want to do just to be accepted. The closest I ever got to doing something just to "prove myself" or "fit in" was when I accepted a date with a cute girl, and that was mostly scientific experiment anyway.

*ahem*

Comedy, horror movies tend to be stupid, and I don't have the patience to find a good one.

#808

dirtyfrank

My character might be running through the same story line each time and because they would be the same each time they'd have the same behavior each time but that does not mean my character would make the same decisions each time. With us making different decisions then we can easily have a different sort of adventure each time we play that same campaign with those same characters.
