I found it to be mocking & really condescending.

Really? Seriously? Are we that PC? When weird Al did white and nerdy I thought it was hilarious. I wanted to make my own vid and submit it. Im sure the Amish weren't devastated by his musical efforts either. It doesn't put women down in any way, and it was originally posted on the site I got it from by a woman. Actually the original song and video is more offensive as it is a kin to soft core porn. This is something hilarious endorsed by Seth Green. I think women in general are a great addition to the gaming community. They add an amazingly different point of view of the game.

I apologize for any sensibilities I may have offended.

um two salient points.
1. If there Amish Paradise song was offensive an Amish person wouldn't do anything about it.
2. Where is the Amish person going to see that song... They're Amish.

I'm not offended because its not PC, i'm offended because:
A. Its offensive.
B. Its condescending.
C. Its openly mocking.
D. Its stupid.
E. Its done by Seth Green, whose not nearly as clever, talented or popular as he thinks he is.

He is, however, a real cutey.

Disagree

D. Its stupid.

Agree
E. Its done by Seth Green, whose not nearly as clever, talented or popular as he thinks he is.

Don't know who he is, but if the video is any clue, i agree.

I guess for me to be offended, it has to be grounded more in reality or something.

nize... another person who actually knows something about the Amish other than, "Oh, they're those backward inbreeds who refuse to use technology, how quaint/weird/regressive."

I've lived around Amish my whole life and there is, in my experience, A LOT more integrity in their way of life than people give them credit for. They're not perfect, but IMO, they're a hell of a lot better than most modern people.

Meh, don't like.

I can't put my finger on it, but listening, I have the constant feeling the're stressing their voice to get the high notes.

They're not perfect, but IMO, they're a hell of a lot better than most modern people.

Nothing against the amish, but  did you know they have a higher percentile of rapes then compared to normal community.

I was not aware of that, but it really does not suprise me all that much. You suppress all of your sexual desires to the level they do & somethings got to give.

And modern people have a higher percentage of war, worker exploitation, pollution....

Also, **** figures (not to minimize them at all) are admittedly somewhat squiffy because of under-reporting. So, if that uncited stat is true, it could simply mean that more Amish come forward in instances of **** than 'normal' people (though I kind of object to that term, especially in this situation, looking historically at human cultures, Amish are probably much closer to the 'norm' than modern people).

I trolling my old posts, la la la

huh, just found out hasbro censors r/a/p/e as well as q/u/e/e/r, way to totally invisibilize many legitimate discourses.
