Gaming saints for a dice blessing: suggestions?

This is a joke. If you're gonna righteous-rage at me, please don't. If you'd like to be in on the joke, kindly keep reading!

The obvious saints are, of course, Arneson and Gygax. I'm thinking of adding Greenwood and Keith Baker, and whoever created the other D&D worlds (Dragonlance, etc., even Spelljammer), and extending out into other gaming worlds for other dice (whoever invented Warhammer and Burning Wheel for d6s, that sort of thing).

Unfortunately, I've only ever played D&D, and I don't know bunches about other games. So, I turn to you, Gamer nation!

So, are there other games that use other polyhedrons like D&D uses the d20, and 40K uses the d6? What are they, and do they have a guy that corresponds to St. Gygax?
