Hey guys,

Last year, after we all found about about Gary's passing, I orgainsed an event in my home town where we gathered together and ran through a module written by Gary Gygax. We chose Tomb of Horrors, played with first ed characters and had a blast (eighteen character deaths + lots of Pepsi + fast food = 3 hours of fun).
We even had two gamers (who are now in their mid- to late-thirties) bring their eldest boys along (both around twelve) for their first game. Both of the boys enjoyed themselves immensely and have been pestering their fathers to run something at home (one has relented and now runs D&D with his children at home).

This year, we're all ready to go again. I've enough interest to have three tables of role-players rockup and face either The Keep on the Borderlands, or go to the Barrier Peaks.

It will be run on March 7th (the closest weekend to the anniversary of Gary's passing) and I wanted to know if anyone else wanted to organise a similar event at their FLGS, home or other location? If you do, we could share some ideas, material and experiences of the day via the Forum. This could be a chance to create a Gamer Holiday of sorts.

I'll keep you all updated with my progress, and let me know whether you're intending to join in at your chosen location.

Pax.
