I read a 4 series novel back late 80's called the Death Dealer series by James Silke w/ art by Frank Frazella. The main character was a man named Gath of Baal. Did anyone else read / enjoy these novels too? I thought they were well written and the art... of course was fantastic.
The 4 novel series consists of the following novels:
1. Prisoner of the Horned Helmet (1988)
2. Lords of Destruction (1989)
3. Tooth and Claw (1989)
4. Plague of Knives (1990)
I did some research and cound another novel supposedly written by Frank but... I cant find it on any used book or new book search engine.
5. Rise of the Death Dealer (2005) (Unsure if ever published)
Hell yeah I loved those books. I havnt read them since like high school, id like to read them again, but I have no idea what happened to them, but being that you listed the name of them (thank you by the way) that should make it easier for me to track them down. I remember Glen Danzig also put out a comic sometime around the late 90s I believe, It was aright, but I was dissappointed that it didnt have anything to do with those novels. Goodman Games has a Death Dealer adventure out, its pretty cool, its set up more like a mini setting than an adventure, and its got stats for the Death Dealer himself! I believe its based off a comic series as well, but I dont think its the same one that Danzig was doing. I just love the Death Dealer, I think that is one of the best fantasy art pieces ever done! Frazetta is the man! I got into Molly Hatchet just because that was on the cover.
I havent read them since the late 80's early 90's. I'm going to purchase the books again in about a week so I can re-read them. (and keep them).
