Political Manifest :

We the gnome lovers of the world (after mentionned the GLW) demand the immediate and FREE PDF publication, by WOTC, of all the traditional classes that do not appear in the first PHB of the 4 edition. We will settle for no less ! We will not buy 4e books unless you do so. We are malcontent and feel cheated for the following reasons:

Article One:
Failing to see that novelty is a good thing we demand that the same game be published ad nauseam without any change. (except maybe the artwork)

Article Two:
Because we have spend a ridiculously low amount of money compared to the number of hours of play we get from D&D, WE the GLW, have to sacrosaint right the demand the return of the Gnome as a PC race.

Article Tree:
WOTC is an evil empire of unimaginable scope, controlled by the Red Wizards of Tay, that as managed to turn ALL D&D players in ZOMBIES that will buy any product that comes out regardless of its quality.

Article Four:
You got a right to fight for your rights! Use every opportunity to plague this forum with treads to bring back the «left out classes» FOR FREE before the PHB2 comes out. (that way we won't even have to make photocopies from the library books)

If you are a «Gnome Lover» please sign this manifest by posting an answer to this tread. The fate of the TRUE UNCHANGING D&D RPG GAME rest on your shoulders. Together, WE the GLW, shall never surrender ! United we stand against mercantilism, profiteering and the great capitalist demon. This tread is the great spear that will bring the WOTC goliath to its knees. This way EVERYONE will have to play 3.5 for ever and ever and ever and ever. 3.5 is cool cause it has GNOME as PC race. Mouhahahahahaha !

FREE, FREE, FREE
FREE THE GNOME !

FREE, FREE, FREE
FREE GNOME PDFS NOW !

P.S.: Anyone who finds their little «pet thing» didn't make the final cut in 4E should sign this petition with an explaination sentence. Expressing youself is good. You shouldn't keep all this repressed anger inside. You know were that leads...Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, ....

Yanno, this Gnome thing is a dead issue. They're not in the PHB.

...

So what? How does that make them insuitable as a PC race?

They're right there in the monster manual. Completely playable. In fact, awesomely playable. That doesn't mean in any way shape or form that they're not playable as a PC race.

On the issue of the classes, however... From the lineup that's available, I can't think of any way that a certain archetype from 3.X isn't doable, save maybe the wild-shaping, animal-summoning, dinosaur-riding, city-stomping druid, and the bard.

Out of those two, I think the Bard is what I'll miss the most. And he'll be back later, I'm sure. I'm patient. I can wait.

¡¡Gnomes Suck!! Stop posting stuff I disagree with!!
Nobody's ever played a Gnome in the history of D&D!

I refuse to admit that you have a point and here's a list of all your spelling mistakes with their corresponding corrections!!

Manifest --> Manifesto
mentionned --> mentioned
spend --> spent
sacrosaint --> sacrosanct
as --> has
treads --> threads
rest -->rests
explaination --> explanation

So, I tell my husband (who hasn't been following anything on the website or the forums, and knows nothing about 4e) that when the books come out, I'm thinking about running a campaign. And I ask, "what are you thinking of playing?"

What does he answer?

"A gnome illusionist/thief."

Yes, you did! i'm sure you realize that pointing out your spelling mistakes was part of my satire. it's so annoying when people focus on meaningless details and ignore the main point!

My wife always plays a Gnome. Me, I tend to play one of the many Elven races... typically, but not always, a Sun or Moon elf. Of course, I also tend to play as a Sorcerer... after all... Wizards are so lame. :P
