What are some good fantasy or science fiction books available as audio book? Based on your experience I mean.

I've also heard good things about American Gods, but can not confirm this one yet.

Can't say, but I've got one of Lenny Henry reading Anansi Boys that is quite good.

Jan 20, 2010 16:04:39 Got that one too. I prefer Stephen Brigg's narration of the Discworld books to that of Nigel Planer. I've not taken a look at (or listen too) World War Z - I'll put it on my wish list. The stories of Clark Ashton Smith, as read by Reg Green, are interesting though Smith's prose is too purple for my taste. The Dark Tower series is good, though I've heard it several times. Neverwhere and American Gods are also solid.
