He makes this sound as if it is a block against all .cc domains and/or an attack based on regligious reasons. They did not block all .cc domains, which your article mentions but does not really explain the difference between a domain and subdomain. Based upon the editor's note, I wonder if he even knows the difference. They blocked the co.cc subdomain only, which is a Korean owned domain that offers free subdomains to anyone.
