And extra smelly.

Why would it be extra smelly?

By wearing waterproof shoes in a shower you're actively preventing your feet from being washed. This isn't going to end well.

That's only for when you're at a gym an' junk.  People don't care about their foot funk so they don't try not to spread it.  It's far more hygenic, in most cases, to acutally wear shoes in a shower like that.  Really you're only there to get the grime off anyway - it's not like it's your before work shower or somethin'.  So yeah, wearin' shoes in public showers is the way to go.  Cuz you'll still take showers sans shoes at home.

Yup.  That's why ya wear shoes.  And a hat.  And a wetsuit.

There I'd usually wear flip flops. And dry my feet afterwards.
Sorry, but feet smell is something that really disgusts me, and I like feet. There are worse things than a guy who should be using some kind of feet deodorant after a hot day, but if I stumble upon one I can't really remember them

I rarely bother with shower shoes anymore. I've been using public showers since I was a kid and I've been all right.

When I went to the pool regularly I would wear shower shoes, but that was half for traction.  Seriously, why do they put polished tile that's slippery when wet in a [your overlord has deemed this word unfitting for public consumption] shower?
