Greatest Critical Fail Moments

Anyone ever roll a critical failure on a skill and succeeded? (somehow)

I've only done this....once. (I'm usually the guy who pulls off the greatest luck when the cards are down and **** hits the walls)

My DM was running our campaign (we were level 6 at the time) and we were in jail (long story short; we tried to save a town from an incoming plague by spraying anti-virus all over town -weird skill challenge- and due to failing multiple times most of the town's population was wiped out and we were jailed as terrorists)

Anyway...we were pretty ****** off in jail (DM gave us a +1 to atk and damage rolls...saying we were THAT ******) and in comes some kind of alchemy monster that attacks us. We managed to defeat it with our cleric's radiant damage. I was totally useless. I just restrained it by jumping on top of it and grappling it. (Rogue without a weapon in jail...what am I to do? There weren't any sharp objects and even if there were, they would be 'improvised attacks'.)

Then come the guards. While holding us at spear-point inspecting the body, I look at the guard in front of me and roll a bluff, saying, "It's getting up!!!". I roll a 1 (crit fail). Resulting in a 14. I sighed and assume that he keeps me held at spear-point. That's when I notice the DM's shocked look on his face as he turns to us and says. The guard in front of Xion (me) panics and screams, "OH MY GOD!!!" and starts stabbing at the dead body. The rest of the guards try to restrain and control the guard.

Surprised at my success, I shouted out, "RUUUUNNN!!!" We succeed in the chase scene skill challenge and aquired out gear back.

I honestly can't believe we made it out of there -_-'

Anyone have any stories like this? Feel free to post! :3
(sorry if this was a long post btw >_<)

Wow...I can't say I've ever had that sort of skill challenge happen where I actually succeed on a failure, though I would consider an enemy failing horribly a success, so here's one of my stories.
Going down the carved in stair case to the Sunless Citadel the party is attacked by rats (of course), me being the closest one to them I'm taking the brunt of the damage, though one or two slipped around me to attack my other companion (two man squad); after the bard miraculously skewers one with dagger and I effectively snap the spine of another one with my monk-y skills, the time comes for the remaining rat to attack, the DM rolls, and laughs.
He decided that for what it was, the worst thing that could happen was the rat missing. Horribly. Off the side and down the the bottom of the ravine.
Awesome.

i once failed in real life and managed to win... does that count?

i was doing a pop run for the FLGS's minifridge when the bottom of the pop case i just picked up broke wide open from a leaking can. i told what happened to one of the attendants and she gave me that case free. the FLGS owner was happy to get his pop and most of a case free. the guys at the store laughed and called it a classic moment in Oxybe history (it's generally known that i'm a walking disaster area... nice things & me don't mix)
