So, it might be a little early, but I was wondering what everyone was planning on being and doing for Halloween.

It's my favorite holiday - I used to work all summer on my costume, before I "grew up" (had kids, a job, etc).  I haven't decided what I'm going to be, but I think I'm going to get a cute little Tigger costume for my youngest son this year.  My elder son still has to pick out what he wants to be.  We'll probably take a trip to the Halloween store sometime this week or so, before all the good costumes are taken.

My husband suggested I be Batgirl and our son be Batman, which I think would be cute!

So, what are your plans?

Halloween Party at animu club, prolly dress as Dave Strider again. Also, I try to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas every Halloween. Beyond that, no real plans unless one of my friends has a halloween party.

But yeah *high five* best holiday.

College Halloween party. I have no clue what I'd dress up as but I was thinking of something sort of steam punk-ish just for the hell of it. This means I'd need to order some stuff and whatnot so if I'm going to do it I need to order the junk a week or two before the party. Still not sure exactly what I want to do but steam punk seems to be the only thing that seems good in my mind lately. Or at all. Hmmm. I just don't want to put too much effort into it and steam punk seems like something doable without too much effort.

I've decided to be a zombie hunter (I already have a trenchcoat, airsoft guns, and plenty of melee weapons to choose from, I need a cowboy hat, fake blood, and a zombie head to hang from my belt).

Could do zombie. I have a tattered shirt, and I'm already pretty pale. All I really need is fake blood and a bandage for the bite.

Then I need to find you. I have some red paint airsoft rounds I could fire off at you and you could play dead, or clutch your body in pain and yell vulgar things at me, whichever is more appropriate.

I'll go as a pig ninja. It's a ninja with a pig mask.

Probably nothing.

If I do go to a party or something, and I think it'll be a 20-something crowd, then I'd probably dig out my Simon cosplay from Anime Expo.  But mostly 'cause that coat was friggin' awesome.

I reccomend Gentleman's Emporium. It's where I got mah goggles when I went with a random steampunk.

It was.

I don't celebrate Halloween and I'll probably skip any parties that may occur.
Then again I don't celebrate my own birthday.

Halloween is not really a thing here, beyond using it as an excuse to host a party, drink booze, and dress up like a skimpy nurse.

However... this year the company I volunteer for is doing a fright night in an old castle where I´ll be playing scare-actor so that might turn out awesome :D Looking forward to it.

And will probably get some friends together and do a horror-games night, like last year.

I don't generally celebrate holidays... When I do bother to acknowledge a holiday, I generally tend to do so in a more traditional manner than the current bastardized over-commercialized fashions.

Most years, I don't bother to dress up, but occasionally if I remember it's Halloween before the kids start ringing the doorbell and feel ambitious I throw on my Eddie costume if I somehow get roped into passing out candy. My only real Halloween tradition, if you could call it that, is throwing in my Rocky Horror dvd at some point during the night, and possibly Shock Treatment after that.

And you look like you're all about Halloween ;)

I rarely do anything for Halloween. I'm not a celebratory kind of guy. I exchange a few presents at Christmas and go to my sister's 4th of July cookout & fireworks, and that's about it.

This year I'll be the Mad Hatter. No, it is nothing like that tragedy that Johny Depp and Tim Burton vomitted up. There will be a few parties on the menu for that night.

Haven't planned anything for Halloween yet. I think I might do something this year though, since I have a good car now.

I've never went trick or treating, so I think I'm going to do that this year (now that I'm 21). Though, the trick or treating might involve going from house to house asking for booze.

Luckily, I've got a pretty good costume. I want to be a lumberjack.

It's on a Monday so I will be working.  No costume, no party.  The weekends before and after will be spent hunting (most likely) though I may try to head up to the bar to girl watch.  Probably not.

You're never too old to trick or treat, but if you show up at my house without a costume, you're getting a razor apple :33.

I have the basics of a steampunk outfit, but nothing really... steampunky enough. I need some sort of mechanical/clockwork/brass/steam type accessory. Yes, there are goggles, and boots, and suspenders, even a bow tie. I do have a walking stick, but again, I don't have anything that would make someone think "steampunk".

Either that or I'll throw on my Jedi robe.

A supersoaker with a brown/grey paintjob and some cheap gears glued on. Looks remarkebly steampunkish, I've seen a few of those.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'd do more than just stick gears on it. If it has gears, I'd expect them to do something, even if it's just rotating.

I also don't really do anything for halloween (which is a shame because it's my birthday).  I'm too old for trick-or-treat.  I can't drink because of my epilepsy meds.  And I don't have fun at parties (I only open up around people I've already gotten to know modestly well, so I tend to spend the whole night trying to stay out of everyone else's way so I don't drag the party down).  Assuming I don't have to work or study that night, I'll probably just watch anime and work on my drawing.
