Since I won't be home and near a computer at midnight, I just want to wish everybody (except goldo) a happy new year a little earlier than normal...

Happy New Year everyone! I probably won't be near a computer at midnight and due to the time difference it would probably still be hours off for most of you anyway, so I'll just say it now Wink

I am indifferent about the arrival of New Year's Day unless I receive extra compensation for my scheduled commands which conveniently happens at midnight tonight. This ordeal would be much easier with mechanical employers...

Happy new year, and may your stories of tonight be ones you won't be embarrassed of tomorrow.

Heh, that's the best wish I've ever heard given for this particular evening.  Nice.

Well, seeing as I'll be drinking with my parents tonight, it's kinda on the forebrain...

I can imagine.  I will not be drinking with my parents.  My dad doesn't even drink.  I did have some 'cohol with the mom on Christmas.  Not a lot, though.  Guess I'll have to make up for it tonight.  Lessee, we've got Warsteiner Dark, Knob Creek, sake, champagne, Windsor, a ton of flavored vodka for the party's theme drink (a Grinch or something - oh, and White Gummy Bears) and some stuff I don't even know about yet.  I feel confident, then, pullin' a Bush and declaring a premature 'Mission Accomplished'.

The mother-in-law is watching the kids and me and the ol' lady are going to her sisters house. My wife plans on drinking quite a bit, and she hasn't drank in over 2 years! I believe I might just have to take advantage of her later to-nite;)

And of course I'm gonna be drinkin' .... and smokin'....

My friend has these wonderfu li'l (allegedly) Cuban cigars.  The weather is warm for the date and I can't wait to hang out outside smokin' 'em with a nice, cool Warsteiner in my hand.  I'm thinkin' about takin' the junky plastic patio furniture (as opposed to our nicer metal an' glass stuff) out o' the garage for those that want to hang on the patio smokin'.  Could be a decent plan.  Have to run it by the ol' lady first, though.

I was limited to "bubbles", champagne for kids, because my girlfriend isn't allowed to drink. At least it'll let us practice for years to come, because this is going to be a good year!

So, anyone have some new year's resolutions? I'm not going to bother this year Tongue out

So...
I woke up naked on my living room floor.

And I don't know why...

The question is: do you want to know? Do we?

I dunno... I'm kinda scared to find out!
I got too deep into the spiced rum last night I suppose.
I don't even remember leaving my sister-in-laws....

Resolution - Finally beat Azurik: Rise of Perathia

Seriously, I've had this game for ten years now and I still haven't beat it all the way to the end!

Heh.  So I managed to get through New Years eve mostly with my dignity intact.  It wasn't until midnight itself when they broke out the wine that I lost track of how much I was drinking.  Fortunately I just got quiet and smiley and slightly wobbly, rather then loud and annoying and falling down.

New Years Resolution #1: Get out of New Mexico.

I did pretty well.  I remember mostly everything right up until the only people left in the house were the ones staying over.  There's a reason for that but I won't get into what caused my brain to stop workin'.  Anyhoo, overall I was ok.  And there were fireworks!  Roman Candles and Morning Glories!  Yay!  I did cut myself slitting open the foil on one of the champagne bottles, though.  No biggie, kinda funny, win-win.  I think part of the reason I was ok for so long was that I avoided the fishing game thing and that I had help killin' my Christmas present.  The fiancee's brother's girlfriend helped me with the sake.  Yum.

Resolution?  Uh ... keep on truckin'?

I did better than my younger bro - had to lead him to bed and get rid of his guests (some of them were uninvited).

When it comes to resolutions...
