Jun 11, 2008 0:30:53 I remember one scene from a movie who's name I cannot recall. The one scene I think I remember properly goes something like...

Some guy puts a cassette tape in his tape player in his apartment and hits play. No sound emanates from it, but next door, some old lady hears satanic screams and the wails of the dying.

She complains through the wall, but he ignores her, afterall, he can't hear the sound at all.

Anyway, later he finds out the old lady committed suicide or something. More later he finds out the reason he couldn't hear the tape was because of a pentagram painted on the ceiling of the apartment below him.

Please people, it's really annoying to not know something you've seen.

I'm pretty sure this movie is "Lost Souls". The man in question is the movie's version of the anti-christ and he can't hear the tape because he isn't allowed to know who he is until he becomes possessed by Lucifer, or some such.

Yes! I think that's it! Winona Rider's character gives the dude the tape to listen to and is really weirded out that he can't hear it. Thanks much! Help yourself to a cookie or an internet.
