I've got two things that are on the edge of my mind but I can't seem to track down. 1. In 1990 or 1991 there was a special on MTV called "The Buzz". I'm not talking about the Buzz Bin or Buzz Clips. I'm talking about a static-filled 30 minute special featuring music by Merzbow where random words flickered across the screen with near-subliminal message speed, while random people talked, forming a sea of sensory overload. Does anybody else remember it? I can't find references of it anywhere on the internet, which is just weird to me, especially with all the 1980's nostalgia floating around. 2. I'm trying to pin down the name of the stand up comedian who coined the phrase "Bow chicka bow bow" back in the late 1980's. I can't find references to him online when I do a search on the phrase, but I remember quoting him throughout the early 90's. Does anybody remember who it was? Of course, he might have gotten it from somewhere else.
