'I was fat ... I was Fat Cavill', he told the magazine.

But after he landed his first major role in the 2002 film The Count of Monte Cristo he was inspired to lose weight and get in shape.

'I lost one and a half stone  921lbs and I wasn't Fat Cavil anymore,' he revealed.

Ummmm........

1.5 stone != 921lbs.

edit: reading through that makes me wonder if there's such a thing as proof-reading in the UK.

The new Superman sucked anyways. So many things wrong with, it was kinda hard to follow, starts on krypton, ok that makes sense, now Supes is all growed up, no hes a kid, hes got a beard!, hes a kid again, all growed up again, but no beard! hes a kid again, explosions!!!

And the ending was really lame, they really didnt focus on his up bringing and showing his love of life or whatever, he had no problem knocking over buildings, or blowing up gas stations, with innocent people inside, so yeah that made the ending totally pointless, I dont want to ruin it for anyone, but yeah Supes wins.

It helps if you don't watch the movie while drunk.

Meh... they changed the story a bit. Some changes more significant than others, but at least it wasn't the same garbage we see in every Superman remake.

Yeah, him coming from another planet that was about to explode was a refreshing twist. All his new powers too. Plus new opponents we've never seen before!

He can grow a beard and then shave. That is a new super power that has never been shown in any other movie. Also, when they show doomsday in the biochamber, that was a new openent that hadn't been shwn before. At least in the movies. It's pretty hard to come up with an original oppenent for Superman in a movie at this point.

Sure, you could do that, but you won't. You'll end up watching the movie again because you'll go watch WWZ and want to cleanse your brain of such a terrible movie that only has the title in common with the book.

Eh.  I don't think they ever really address how Superman gets a haircut or shave, but in the comics at least they do show him growing both from time to time, normally when he's being all mopey or mourning or such.  So it's not against canon that his hair grows or that he has a way to cut it.

But if it pleases you, imagine that he uses his heat-beam vision and a mirror.

I watched it at the Drive-In, they didnt have anything after the credits except dancing hotdogs, but a Supes vs Doomsday movie might be interesting, and its only been like what? 20 years since Doomsday "killed" superman in the comics, bout time they made a movie of it. They do need to get some different  villans in there for sure, I mean Superman can fight Lex Luthor and Richard Pryor only so many times before it starts to get boring. Its a shame Braniac's never made it in there, or Bizarro, thatd be a good one, I remember being so psyched about Superman IV:The Quest for mo'money cause I thought for sure Lex would end up with a Bizarro clone not a Firestorm wannabe, what the hell!?

And by the way, I didnt drink any beer during the movie, the wife wouldnt let me bring beer to the drive-in, thats the whole point of going to the drive-in, so you can sit in your car and drink beer and no ones the wiser, women!!!

I can't decide whether that's great or terrible.  Perhaps great and terrible?  Does that make Superman Oz?  So now Superman is a werewolf?  A zen-buddhist werewolf?

Huh.  Didn't see that coming.

Because that was an interesting and worthwhile plotline.

Braniac would be cool. Bizarro would be cool. But after that we've kinda exhausted all "good" plotlines. Problem is that Superman is old as balls and founded on the back of poor animation of him blowing up robots and stopping planes from crashing. He's not no background aside from the 'splody planet and "I can fly". He's got no viable enemies besides a handful ex-Kryptons and Lex Luthor who becomes infinitely less cool once you realize he's just a dark Mr. Crocker.

Superman is the God of Metropolis and that's it.

First, they still have drive-ins? Really?

Second, maybe you should have gone to a proper theater. The drive-in probably didn't have that clip attached at the end. I've been to some theaters that would do that. For some reason they didn't show the clip after the credits. When I saw it at another theater, the clip was there. Some theater projectionist just get lazy when they build the reel.
