Not sure if these are genuine posters from the Smithsonian or not, but they make me smile:

In other news, here's some historical badassery for you...

Mad Jack Churchill

The man fought through World War II armed with bagpipes, a longbow and a claymore...

He served with the Manchester Regiment for a number of years before leaving the army in 1936 to become a newspaper editor, and also used his bagpiping and archery talents to land a part in the movie The Thief of Bagdad.
He took up his commission again in 1940 when the Germans invaded Poland, and was known for charging into battle playing his bagpipes. He became the only British soldier in the entire war to fell an enemy with a longbow.

Captured by the Germans near the end of the war after being knocked out by grenades while playing his bagpipes in the face of an enemy advance, he escaped and almost succeeded in walking to the Baltic coast before being recaptured. Transferred to Tyrol, when the German SS abandoned the prisoners there he walked 150 miles to Verona, Italy. After the war in Europe he was transferred to Burma, which is where he was when the atomic bombs were dropped on Japan. Churchill was disappointed in not being able to see combat in the pacific, and was quoted as saying, "If it wasn't for those damned Yanks, we could have kept the war going another ten years."
In 1946, Churchill played a background part as an archer in the movie Ivanhoe. After the war, he became a qualified paraptrooper and served in Palestine, where he saw action again.
In later years he retired from the army and became an avid surfer.

Now that's some badassery, there, lol. Cool

Teddy Mother ***** Roosevelt.

Nuff said.

What? I need to say more?

Fine, Teddy is so fuggin badass that he can be called Teddy, and no one dares use it as an insult to his masculinity, even now decades after his death.

I'd never thought about this before, but you are quite right... it takes a bad ass man to get away with a nickname like "Teddy" and still ooze awesomeness.

Out of all the dead US Presidents, if there was one I could pick to bring back to life and put back in charge I'd pick him.

That was a man that knew how to get **** done and make everyone like it.
